That sounds very much like Curly-Wurly, a kind of toffee for kids.
When it comes to sweets (candy) in the UK, read that as sugar
and more sugar.
I once saw a well known brand of mint cake being made,
the famous Kend*l Mint Cake so beloved of climbers.
A huge amount of sugar was put in a vat then just enough water
added to make it liquid followed by peppermint essence.
It was poured into trays and allowed to set.
It made my teeth ache just watching it.

I know people steal strange things, but running off with Hawaii is going to far!

Hawaii is missing?
That means there's a hole where it used to be.
I thought the tide was a long time coming in.

Nebraska has been missing for ten years, and hardly anyone has even noticed. Why would Hawaii be a big loss?

Nebraska? I'm sure that was in a song once.
All I can remember of the song is
"What did Delaware boy..etc
She wore a brand New Jersey...etc."
I wish I hadn't remembered that.

The Chinese have probably bought it
(unless the Indians got in first)
with a view to duplication.
The world market will soon be flooded
with cheap Londons with Made in China
underneath.

This is very true and London is acknowledged as being
one of the dearest city in the world, if not the dearest.

I have a bag of mini chocolate chips that I have snacked on for the last two or three weeks.
Per Pauly's orders.
Sounds like you are both doing well ... yeah?
