You guys are fun to come home to!

I'm in a festive mood and yet ... wondering how I'll get the snow out from behind my jeep when we don't have a snow shovel. We'll have to walk someplace to get one!
As for secret letters and diaries, as far as I know, I don't have any. At least none since I was, uh, 15 or something.
What a downer.

Eh... go ahead and enjoy the peaceful isolation, while you can. I love snowstorms... the deeper, the better! Play!

Yes, of course, my dear Washcloth, except tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I'm supposed to travel 30-odd miles south before traveling another 45-odd miles further south. I have no inclination to attempt this by bicycle.

No, I made it fine, thanks.
Depending on how bad this latest storm is, we might have another 20-40 inches of snow.
Yes, most streets were dry today ... now they're getting sloppy and the snow is only beginning to stick on the sidewalks.
Not lovely. This storm could last til Sunday morning and could be worse than our last storm. And our last storm was bad.
Hope the buses will be running tomorrow morning. I don't mind walking home or to work, since it's only about 2 miles. But if I only have to walk one way, that's great.
Yes, many are being told to stay home.
But the news never stays home!

Oh the joys of w*rking for a newspaper! I've succeeded in avoiding the dreaded "We'll supply you with a laptop for home" situation, but it looks like it's not going to hold out for much longer.
I don't wanna be in touch during blizzards!

Awwwww ...
I would very much like to be supplied with a laptop. The problem is that only one of our two available laptops is equipped with our page-designing software. And most of our work right now is designing pages, as it's that time of the week.
I only have four pages to design and two of those are actually half-way or more designed. And that really won't take all day, or even half a day.
And someone took the software-equipped laptop ...
I hope that I will get to design someone else's pages. Or maybe I'll answer a lot of e-mail ...
It might be safe to say I'll go home early tomorrow ... ?

I hope you can go home early tomorrow!
We were all supposed to get out early the last work day before Christmas. Everybody had left by the time I got in at 4pm, and I had a message saying I could leave early too. I also had a stack of work left on my desk, and ended up working an hour extra.
Maybe tomorrow!

Does that mean you're homeless now? Or camping out in someone else's home?

I made it to work very easily this morning and really enjoyed the walk -- http://denver.yourhub.com/PARKER/Blogs/Weather/Local-Weather/Blog~165231.aspx
I really thought the weather was going to be a lot worse, but it seems there's been barely any snow. The sky's white with anticipation of the stuff and the streets are slippery and wet, but that's really all she wrote!
I'm looking forward to another three-day weekend (though I will work from home for a couple hours Monday morning).
I'll be heading home in about 45 minutes ... YAY!!!
Best luck next time, Shea.

Dragonfly.
If you think that was bad, how about the 100-mile-an-hour winds that knocked a tree over onto Manka's in Marin County, California, forcing about a dozen guests to exit the place, because the tree hit a space heater and started a fire. Among the guests were Frances Dormand and the Gyllenhaal Family. Imagine having to be outside in a hurricane wearing only whatever you could grab as you ran out?
