Hair
Posted Feb 12, 2004
What is it with society, American in particular, and hair cuts? I went to get my hair cut today, and teared up while getting it done, because of the need to find a job. I had about 6 or 7 inches taken off. Employers want nice, clean cut people showing up for interviews, after you get the job you can have your hair as long as you want. What is up with that?

God

After much soul-searching, meditation, etc. I have rediscovered my faith in God. It is still very shaky but, it is there.

A Twist
Posted Feb 6, 2004
I got a call from my sister tonight. She is seriously thinking about ending the temporary custody arrangement we have because things just are not going well for her. She has a 2 bedroom house and is trying to raise 4 kids: her daughter and my 3 kids. The kids, all of them have been acting up quite a bit and she is coming to her wits end.
This situation has its negatives and positives.
Negative:
I have not been able to get myself employed and into my own place yet.
My stepson will go back to his mother, very bad thing.
Positive:
I will have my children again and they will likely calm down and start behaving again.
I will feel like I am truly involved in their lives again.
I was expecting to be taking custody of the kids at the end of the school year doing so allowed them to remain in what I consider to be the best school in the state of Utah.
I will gladly take on this burden, it is only appropriate for me to do so. I do have more I want to say but, I don't really have the words right now.

The Club
Posted Jan 23, 2004
Marv and I went out to the club tonight and an amazing thing happened tonight: I danced, this is an extremely rare occurence.
It use to be that I had to get just completely sloshed just to get me on the dance floor. I did have a few drinks, not enough to get me drunk though.
I had a good time, got a good workout, and just let my hair down in general.

Life
Posted Jan 21, 2004
Life is hard, life is a pain in the ass, which is something that is not easy to grasp. But when things get rough, that is when I get tough, that is when I thrive and start getting almost glad that I am alive. Even if I close myself to other’s help, I’m not saying “Leave me alone, I don’t need you” I’m simply saying “I know what’s best for me, I know how to fend for myself” I have always lived by my most important rule “The only person you can truly rely on is yourself.” Criticize me for my beliefs if you want, I can live through them, even if I do rave and rant. I’ll get through my problems when the time is right, maybe in a year, maybe in a night.
