I did no paying work today, and precious little on the computer at all. Instead, we got the rest of the frame for the duck shelter together and started siding it, cooked a fine dinner, and relaxed. Tomorrow it is back to the salt mines, but for now I'm going to curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book.

The details aren't all that important, but I've been having some discussion with the H2G2 staff about their attitude towards editing vs. the rights of writers. The upshot is that I'm taking a break from writing entries for the Guide. Perhaps in the future they'll revise their policies and I'll be comfortable submitting material once again.
Meanwhile, I got some more work done on the duck enclosure today. Got the first few posts set upright in gravel and started framing out the shelter I want to build for the feathered critters. I wonder how long it will be before every corner of this farm has housing for some animal or other? We haven't even STARTED on rabbit cages yet...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
