Yesterday was something I could have done without and so says the rest of Southern Britain

I did hear about the winds and stuff. I blame it on the Americans ... they always send us the worst of their weather, and we export it as fast as we can.

Things are better now, what does your weekend have in store, TV watching for me I think

Not a great deal ... The missus is working, which is a plus. I strained some rib-muscles last week-end clearing snow, so breathing is still painful. And I deeply gashed my primary index finger on Tuesday, and need to soak it a bit, now that it stopped oozing. The missus is still unhappy that I didn't go for the stitches that may have been warranted. Too many hospital and accident report hours ...

Meh, most of the stuff heals or grows back. I've never been much bothered about scars and stuff.

Same here, so how was your weekend, we went out for lunch on Saturday and yesterday I watched the final Ski Jumping competition yesterday and started crocheting a top for Alex

The week-end was quiet'ish, with Milady working. I tended to the laundry and a few minor domestic chores. And ripped a half-dozen cassettes of music to digital format. Only about 350 to go ...

That sounds like a long chore, I'm off work today because mum's had to go to a funeral in the Isle of Wight

And I am home now for a 4-day week-end. Some domestic chores tomorrow, and then lots of time to get serious about that music project.

I've got to work all over Easter, Alex's dad is coming for a visit tomorrow

So yesterday you said tomorrow, does that make it a week from last Tuesday, or the 3rd Sunday after the New Moon?

He came down yesterday (friday) with his new girlfriend and her 2 boys and took Alex Bowling, she enjoyed herself with them

That sounds wonderful just by itself. I expect that my ex didn't have many good thoughts for me, but any time I was able to spend with my baby were very good and special to the little girl.

One person, one person is all we had last night and all she had was coffee and cake

One year, maybe 1979, everyone living in accomodations worked up an agreement for the Christmas day ... We'd all be elsewhere, and the proper Mess didn't need to open.

There was one little arse, a very junior officer. He wanted his paid-for proper table service with linens, etc. The kitchen stayed open for the full day, soley for him. Guess how popular he was for quite a time ...
