I've never been sufficiently wound up about anything to protest effectively. I guess I had better keep my day-job.

I Have This smoking ban I Need a building to clime any suggestions nothing to strenuous hard work has never been my bag and i have work tomorrow we cant all Waite for our dole inbetween protests

I've been unemployed twice in 31 years, ... once for a day, and once for a month or so. Neither time did I qualify for 'unemployment insurance'. Even after I got out of the military, having paid into the system for over 20 years, I wouldn't have been able to collect anything. Severance pay would have negated any benefits. Weird system, eh?

I've claimed the dole once I think, for about a month that's all, I've always worked for employment agencies in between perminant jobs

Aside from this Air Base, there's not a lot of call for my experience and services. Maybe in much larger places ... So temping wouldn't be much of an option.

Temping was ideal when I lived in London, the pay was good the hours were perfect for me because Alex was still a baby at the time and there was always work for chefs, it's not so good down here in Gosport tho

There's always a lot of call for office temps here ... Milady rarely went a week without some pretty good hours. A few ran over a couple of straight months.

Some systems work. Our government has finally appointed a 'body' to deal with the several billion $$$ surplus our unemployment insurance generates. Well, duh !!! Tax the workers beyond reason, and then set the qualification bar too high, what the do they expect?

Someone always knows best, so they think anyway

The government loves the surplus ... It makes it look like they are operating in the black, instead of a deficit.

Oh yeah, our's is the same

I wonder if there is any government system in this world that is actually equitable. Without tyranny ...

I doubt it, if there was I'd emigrate

The waiting list for entry would be interminable.
