Sounds like some of the ones I'm dealing with right now. On top of the spelling, sending in spreadsheets that turn into lists of football results half-way down, with formulas accidentally inserted everywhere too
We should get 2legs to act as our line of first defence. I think he'd quite enjoy it!

Have you found out about your rota, yet? Weather for Saturday seems to be bright with a possible shower or two, but no talk of wind like this.

I seem to be ok so far - nobody's said anything about working, anyway, so if they ask now, it will simply be too late.

They haven't told you about this weekend yet, but you know about the one after next already?
I missed a great concert tonight. Andy Irvine and Dick Gaughan were playing together in Belfast. I didn't hear a thing about it until this evening!

Yes, I usually have weekends off, and they already have the events staff for the 19th - but this weekend looked difficult because M is still off sick. I expect she'll be recovered by the weekend after next

Hmpf - why did they not tell you? That does sound like a good concert.

Yeah, there's a féile on this weekend. Other than that there seems to be a lot of school choirs.
Capercaillie are playing on Sunday, though. That looks about the best.

Yarreau likes Capercaillie - mostly because she likes the word.
It's "Auerhahn" in German, not quite as exciting.

In German, everything has to be a 'hahn' of some kind. Even the water taps.
I like them because they stop juuuuuuust in time with the amount of synthesizer-y stuff they use. And also because I can make Wader-isms with the Scottish Gaelic.

Tomorrow night at 8, I think. If you're interested and we can still get tickets, I'll get 'em as a birthday treat!
Oh - I saw that photo of that guy we were talking about. He looks completely different from what I imagined. Funny how you build up an idea of what people look like.

That would be
Yes, I often have a completely different mental image of people if I don't know what they look like. All radio presenters look the same to me, for a start

Meh, sorry, I wasn't able to get tickets on time. Didn't mean to leave you hanging like that. I'll just have to drag you out to a different concert soon.
Jolly good! Do we need cutlasses too, d'ye think?

I thought as much when you didn't answer the phone
Cutlasses, wenches, rum, and a supply of orange juice so we don't get scurvy.

Sorry, I didn't realise you phoned. I didn't have my phone on me. Can I tempt you with the Chinese state circus instead?
Hmm. Wenches and rum, eh? Your version sounds more appealing than the one attributed to Churchill - "rum, sodomy and the lash". Let's take rose hips though - much more vitamin C, so we could take fewer of them, and then we'd have room for a pony on our boat.

Happens to the best of us, and me. I only thought I'd check before I left Belfast.
Where are they, then?
Are you sure that was Churchill and not 2legs?

Ah yes, you were visiting C - is she still at Springhill? Probably not at this time of year I supppose...
They are in Belfast some time soon, I think. Does that tickle your fancy?
