I imagine he mentioned it here and there. He's a helluva a good lad, who's met some very trying times. But a good heart and friend through all, eh?
So, speaking of lads, how is yours doing? I've never asked an age, but I gather indirectly that he is somewhat older than my first grandson, (coincidentally named Nicky) who was 3 in February.

Alright then, where did I get the idea that he was half the demon-spawn that my little name-sake is? Hmmm ... Well, I do wish him and you well with that major challenge. The first reasonably true separation.
Having been a number of months, it may be a bold request, ... but would you mind if I appended you to my "friends" list? So much simpler than the 'lurking' to know how some folks are faring

Do that. You've time consumptions that I haven't. And a whole other time-zone.
No worries about attaching my name either ... I typically only post journal entries when a new grand-child has arrived. And with Mavis (my girl) coming on 24 (in September), she is quite satisfied with a step daughter (Rebecca, Dec 1997), Nicky (Feb 02) and Nathan (Sep 03).
Take good care of you and yours. And until another day ...

Whooops, a mis-type. Nathan was the new lad in September, ... 2004 !!! And yet he is less than a pound behind his brother. There'll be some grand sibling feuding and tussling going on there. Being the youngest of 4 lads, (of 6 kids), I know of what I speak.

Well, her husband is very like a child half the time as well. All 5' 1.25" of him. She's all of 5' 2" and has always called him "Shorty". But he IS really good to her, and the kids.

Well, as you might imagine, no one will ever be quite good enough for Daddy's little girl. But he's close.
She is my only child, and from a first marriage. Internal disruptions, caused partly by nature and partly by her work as a military cook, precluded my 2nd and current Lady from making our own.

And when you see the really young kids, spitting out kids almost as easily as watermelon seeds, ... And they don't even care. I find that so frustrating and a real injustice. Milady has the kind of heart that could lovingly mother 20 if nature allowed.

yes this is true, but who said anything in life was fair and just, as a very dear friend of mine is keen on saying "when life hands you lemons you just have to set too and make yourself a nice cool batch of lemonade"

I'm guessing that I've a number of years on ya, and have come to a simple understanding. If even 75% of daily life is good, then the rest can be easily met.
