*rolls eyes* I really don't mind it when they are helping, it's when they put brick walls in your way without knowing what they are talking about, yet being convinced they are right

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear }

Well, once you have tossed aside the idea of describing his impact on Guiding in the UK, ... since it IS only the titled subject anyway, ... Then a full and complete biography of the man. Was he weaned at 2, or at 6? Vital stuff people wanna know. And maybe cover a few more generations of his lineage. Who knows, there might be a shepherd in his past, and someone might find that of interest ... smiley - erm

I haven't even seen the actual article yet, but I would suggest staying with your original intent as much as possible. If folks want to know what colour knickers he wore, they can research and write it. Or the how and why of Boy Scouting. All things that are NOT what you initiated, eh?

I keep getting into fights with every enry I wrote thats why I first withdrew it.

And in all, the biggest reason I have yet to start ANY entry. I see myself as more or less a general specialist. I know a little about a great many things. And quite a lot about some things. But really, I am not an expert in anything. Even military electronics, (radio, radar, data processing, etc) I know what I know by dint of some training and a whole load of seat-of-the-pants experience. So anything I might write could readily be shredded by a single person who has had the benefit of an actual education.

(I dropped out of formal schooling at 17, so have no proper papers at any level ...)

At times, I do wish I would've had the chance for a "formal education". But then I meet another arrogant, stuffed-shirt and figure I'm well enough off as I am. *shrugs*

Just curious, but aside from the Masters Degree in Doting Motherhood, have you formal training or skilled experience in any particular direction?

I glanced at your conversation list, and see that you've become a Serial Writer. (Punishable in some quarters, I believe ... smiley - laugh)

I wish great measures of smiley - goodluck with this really broad ranged project you've taken on. smiley - smiley

Post 110

Mizzpinky *sighs* here we go again

smiley - laugh I wouldn't call it broad ranged

Then how's about a limited subject that happens to have one helluva lot of facets?

Which? The definition or the massage? smiley - laugh

Meanwhile, I'd almost trade you occupations at the moment. I've about 20 radio thingies that need repair and refurbishment, originally made around the time you first tried to focus your eyes. Many of the bits that should make it work haven't been manufactured in 15 or more years! smiley - geeksmiley - headhurts

So in what capacity do you become a "miss", assuming that to be the singular of the "masses"?

Guess who never majored in any language skills? smiley - laugh

'Twas only joking on the "miss" aspect, smiley - silly-person. smiley - laugh

That sounds like a worthy, interesting and perhaps challenging occupation. Personally, having had to instruct a few courses, I KNOW that I don't have enough patience to be a full-timer. Youth OR adult.

As it does for my original ACE, Unconformity. (And quite a good friend) She frequently amazes me with her patience and tolerance. I think it's a matter of my aging, though. I used to have a great time organizing and helping with any youth oriented function. Just not quite so much anymore ... smiley - erm
