I had decided it is sandwich day today

and the B'Elana sent to me just seems to have some difficulties to take off

Oh yes I've made enough Tina. And yes*sigh*eating alone B'Elana(...ah Cladia right?), so most likely freezing some.

I admire that you do the cooking, Darrell, I know I wouldn't bother if i was alone. And yes, it's Claudia.

I am sorry I can't join you for the meal (aehm, I haven't been invited anyway )

But I will enjoy my sandwich later (with eggs, cheese and salad)

I think I'll skip dinner today.

If I did my circulation wouldn't run at all, and due to the weather it is already on strike every now and then

okra is a vegetable which is often found in the arab/african/asian kitchen, in Germany you don't find it very often yet

Well, I oggoled for it, and I've indeed never before heard of it, or seen it.

Well I find it difficult to describe B'Elana, but it's a vegetable(also known as ladyfingers). Something like very short stalks of asparagus, with a very thick gooey juice inside. Because of that juice it's often used to thicken stews & such.

I have heard of it and actually already seen it, but not tried it (unless it was in some of the food I had in Tunisia and didn't realize it)

Aha thought you would(oggole it)It's common in some African, Indian cooking & in the southern U.S. as well - I quite like it!

Ok, I'll eat now & be back before too long.

If I can remember it, I'll look out for it, or better, ask my m-i-l to do so. She goes to a special market in town quite regularly.

I'm quite pleased with myself! Not only was it good(IMHO)but it was a nce small but satisfactory lunch. And I have 4 small portions leftover - 1 for Tina! Oh & those were good-sized sausges Tina, so I gave you half.

Thank you for the compliment B'Elana/Claudia. My father was a so a bit of it comes naturally. Also I learned early that when you cook, you can prepare food the way you like it.
