Aww, that's a shame. Although I would have had to skip choir practice to meet you so perhaps it's just as well as the music is really hard!
The Llandoger Trow was lovely. Lots of different rooms and superb beer. We even found a table at half eleven! Next time, I vote we start there. I also vote that you heathens read/listen/watch Hitchhiker's stuff so you don't make me feel like a real h2g2 (not that I could remember all the answers - I was a bad quiz master this time *slaps wrists*).

about the quiz - But I read the book, watched and listened to the series all so long ago - I blame my brain
Just remembered - we used to have a video of the TV series, but we ran out of tape at the very last second - you know when they announce what the Answer to everything was - our tape just went

You couldn't have planned that if you tried! Brilliant!
That's a point, I should really get a copy of the TV series - I've never watched more than a few isolated episodes. Bad .

Bristol, I'm afraid, although the 'Llandoger' part is from a Welsh village that manufactured the 'trow's - small boats, apparently. Quite what that has to do with Bristol I don't know.

See! I said I'm quite frequently wrong, curses!
Oh well, it's only the other side of the Severn I suppose not like it's the English Channel or the North Sea.

A very nice pub even if we only had time for a single
I'd vote for it as a starting / finishing point next time
I found a couple of other "interesting" ones on my travels on the Sunday but they are probably more for the
Come to think of it I probably only posted my Sunday travels over at the Atelier so here for those that don't know is the late report.
Sunday Morning
Breakfast at the hotel (only & )
passed vip as I headed into town to hit a couple of shops.
Wandered down the "far side of the Harbour stopping to have Bacon rolls at the take away on the harbour side.
I have been subsequently told I stopped at the right place
Wander round the SS Great Britain, that's well worth the cost
Question for the next quiz
What do they call the two big de-humidifiers they use to keep the rust down on the Great Britain?
Return back up the far side of the Harbour and end up in the Cafe we met in on Saturday.
Get self booked onto the trip round the harbour on the Matthew.
Return to cafe for more and use their wifi until departure time.
Round Bristol Harbour on the Matthew (which is a replica of Cabots ship in whick he sailed to nova scotia in 1497 and the Matthew made the same trip in 1997 to mark the 500th aniversary)
then wandering along the city centre side of harbour having a in various establishments.
The ones I recall were The Grain Barge, The Pump House and the Nova Scotia, but there were a couple of others whose names I didn't note
Finishing off by catching the last connecting ferry back from the Nova Scotia pub, at the far end of the harbour,16:30 ish to Temple meads from whence to a very late lunch in Weherspoons before ambling round the corner to catch a train back to Nodnol.
I have to say Bristol is pretty good for abling around.

I missed the meet and so and the chance to meet so many friends, I like to think, otherwise I'd be like Billy no mates
