CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

Socks are an important part of "what are you wearing today?" thread along with everything else.
I don't need sealskinz socks since I wear matterhorn boots and they'e thinsulate and gortex lined anyway. Basically sealskinz socks, they do gloves as well, I have some are gortex.
Yep, have to agree they are the dogs b*ll*cks.
Perhaps will bring me a life, then I can stop being such a nerd

Yup we are down to the old Xmas faithfulls, socks and hankies
Thanks for the Sealskinz info Robyn. I hadn't heard of them and I like the look
of their gloves since I'm looking for a good pair.
I lost a good pair in Snowdonia last year
well I knew exactly where they were but it was a five hour walk back across the valley.
I tried thumbing the RAF practice helicopter but they ignored me.
So I shot them down..dacka-dacka-dacka-dacka-dacka-kaboom!

You could try aftershave If you don't like the smell, you can always drink it
I want to try some of that rum glazed pastry Yarreau was talking about. Wonder if she'll post me some for Christmas Bet the tightwads at UK customs and excise won't let me have it and scoff it all them selves

Mum's bloke is a landscape gardner, he's had two pairs of these socks from me and swears by them.
At £25/£30 a hit they are not your standard dull sockage!
I like making the ordinary extraordinary

There's never a dull moment with you around
I'll rest easy in my bed with that info. I alaways spend a fortune in outdoor clothing and equipment shops I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. My favourite's are Kountrykit and Farmers Friend, the former doesn't cater for barbour so much

For complete waterproofing you can't beat a black plastic bag.
And so cheap too if you time it right.
I wait for the local bin man to come round and follow him to nick the new bags out of the bins.
Hat's, gloves, jackets and over-trousers all easily made in a few minutes,
and rucksack covers too.

Ah, the beauty of sealskinz? Waterproof AND breathable! They have about fifteen layers or something. Dont be too conservative on your shoe size when buying, though, they are a bight tight apparently! Like breathable bin liners between other pairs of sox

You should read Ronald Turnbull's "The book of the Bivvy" It hilarious and informative. He describes an entry level bivvy bag as a fertiliser sack, with the added bonus you get something to read
But what if it rains? The answer is on page 46 Ronald says

Darn it, why hasn't someone found a way of spacing a "v" so that two of them don't look like a "w"
Confuses my little brain.
I'm a bare of little brain anyway.

Bleah! They taste awful. Never mind, I'll persevere, it'll make my breath smell nice I suppose for chatting up the lovely ladies Met some gorgeous latina ones the other night, pronounciation and diphthongs in use of English were enough to make me go weak at the knees

I was on holiday in Spain last September. Listening to the Spanish ladies talk made me go weak at the knees as well.

One of the reasons I ended up in this asylum in the first place I was searching the BBC for foriegn language courses, primarily to learn Espanol. Still learning and still here

Hey, whaddya mean it's not christmas yet!? New year's eve is but 31 days away!!! When it's a month to new year's eve, that's as close to christmas as I need!
(I'll be decorating my office tonight before I go home, if I get my filing done!)
I've already been warned that I wont be popular, but I DONT care!
(and I'm off from the 18th Dec until after xmas. And solstice is on a weekend, so we'll get to celebrate it properly. Mum is taking the sunday off! I'm so excited!)
