You're a very good friend of mine, AW! Whether you believe it or not!
And you're right, Lady Scott. I've had those maternal urges for decades ... did I ever tell you that I always said I'd have 52 kids and live in a castle when I was a girl? The castle thing was just so every kid could have their own room. I hated sharing with my sister!

I wouldn't want to clean a castle - a little house is quite enough work for me, thank you very much!
Or were you planning on lots of free labor from the 52 kids?

over the years i have learned that maternal urges are some of natures strongest. nothing to be dealt with lightly. and yes, i am dead serious here. i respect your wish and so should everybody else, shea!
and on that note i wish you all the best, my friend

Thanks, guys.
Lady Scott, I was a kid myself. Remember what that was like? The house magically cleaned itself, and the food got cooked like magic, too!

Dearest Shea,
Thank you for giving me the link your island. I have downloaded it and it sonds quite beautiful and very romantic.
Enjoy it and enjoy "making" your new little edition. Tragically miscarrying an infant is quite common - but the anguish and pain are just as real as losing a full-term infant. It stand s to reason that grief and the greiving process are necessary and cathartic for one.
I love your story about the castle with 52 rooms. I wonder how significant is the 52 - like weeks in the year!! You could have moved from room to room every week!!.
With very much affectionate to your both.

they say that the winter-palace (hermitage) in saint petersburg, russia, has so many rooms that you can sleep in a new room every night your entire life without ever having to sleep in the same room more than once. think about it: you will never have to clean anything and you will have new bedlinen every night

Being born a commoner comes back to haunt me yet again.
You're very right, AR1! It makes me wish I was more empathic when my sister and sister-in-law lost their babies. But my sister-in-law helped my sister tremendously when she lost her baby, and my sister help me tremendously, so I guess we all support each other when we can.

it contradicts the old saying "freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to lose" which *used* to sound profound, however i found out long ago that total freedom is only found in death - and i'm in no hurry to find that kind of freedom...

Sometimes it's very difficult Shea. My mother had four pregnancies that didn't work out before I was born. But then she had three wonderful children (of which I'm the oldest ) so see - she NEVER gave up.
Looking back on it, doctors attribute it to the medication she was on for morning sickness. Seems it caused a lot of miscarriages. (this was in the 50's) and she had morning sickness with all of her pregnancies. However they were using something else by the time she got pregant with me.
