Are you saying that you chewed yourself out?

That would be the day.
Anyway, these are all virtual ,
so there are an infinite number of them, and we can
eat all we want.

I'm getting a bit muddled.
Evil One was originally trapped inside a
that was Cinderella's
until midnight. Then Shea did something
about a pie. Finally we began discussing
the best way to handle a limitless supply
of virtual .
But now Evil One is trapped in some kind of pie.
What did I miss?
Besides the answer to the ultimate question of 42.

He's not trapped in it. He ate it. It would appear to be trapped in him now!

From scratch (ie using whole pumpkins) of from a can of pumpkin pie mix?

It's a fair amount of work to cut open a pumpkin and
turn it into pies or cakes. Still, I've done it many
times, and there are no mysteries to the process.
You need to have the right tools. A butcher's knife
or other sturdy knife is necessary, depending on the size
of the pumpkin. A fairly large spoon with a long handle
is also useful. Plus, you need to leave yourself enough
space to work on.
With the butcher's knife, cut a circle around the stem.
Pull the stem out and discard it. You can scoop the seeds
out of the pumkpin's interior now, or you can wait until
the pumpkin has been chopped into smaller pieces. Either
way will work.
Anyway, there are three remaining steps:
1. Cut the pumpkin into smaller and smaller chunks.
2. Remove all the seeds and the fibrous slimy stuff
that they are attached to. The seeds can be discarded,
or they can be saved and dried and roasted for eating,
as they are extremely nutritious.
3. Peel away the outside skin from the pumpkin.
Okay, now you have a bunch of pumpkin chunks. If you plan
to use them much later, put them in plastic bags or
tupperware containers and store them in the freezer.
If you want to use them right away, choose the method
that is most convenient for you.
If you're making pumpkin soup, just throw the chunks
into the soup. An alternative would be to bgoil or roast
the chunks and then puree them and add the puree to
the soup.
If you're making pumpkin pie or cake, you may either
boil the chunks in water and puree them in your food processor,
or you may put all the wet ingredients in your blender, add
the raw pumpkin chunks, and puree the whole mixture, then
mix with the dry ingredients to make your batter.
