h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Today I went to the clinic to have a doctor look at a peculular bite on my arm. Later in the day, I felt what I thought was another bite, but was instead, as I watched, mthe skin on my wrist split open and began bleeding. I ran back to the clinic and they say it's a combination of dry skin and possible carpel tunnel.

I never knew the two were related ... I should have realized.

The skin on my hands tends to crack and bleed this time of year.
There are at least four cracks onh my right hand.

That happens to my father a lot, but was the first time for me.

That just means that you're aging. Don't do it too fast, though.

I think it's just too cold outside.

Agreed. One of the coldest Januaries in years in many places.

But February is *usually* warmer, even in a cold year.

At leat if it's cold in February, it's a short month!!!!!! And spring training starts in February!!!

It's been warm enough todat for some of the ice to melt.

It was warm enough here to go outside without a hat on!!!!

It was warm enough today for the slippery, icy paths to become slushy, muddy paths.

It's warm enough to be raining instead of blizzarding!

Ah, yes, nothing quite being late to class because the already hazardous intersection has become a torent of muddy water.

I still say that all of this rain is better than another foot of snow!

He used to be Frosty the Snowman, but he got two more feet of snow.
