When I was driving to w**k this afternoon, something creepy happened. The radio cut out ... dead. No static, nothing. I tried other stations, and only half of them were working. And the traffic signals were dead. When I arrived here, the lights were out. Only our computers are working, they're on a backup system for just this sort of situation.
Now they're saying it's the whole eastern seaboard! But it's not terrorism ... why doesn't that make me feel any better?

We've still got power... at the moment, anyway.
Strange. I wonder if the blackout has anything to do with the computer virus that's going around.

If it helps any - I was trying to think of a gag around
"A little more Viagra in your Niagra"
but it wasn;t going anywhere, so I stopped.

The worse part about this? Our computers are on a backup system, but the a/c doesn't work. We're all sweating, but the website must be updated! They want me to make a map of the affected area ... my question is: WHO'S GONNA LOOK AT IT? Everyone's computers are out! *sigh*

No, I drive. But a co-worker tried to leave before, but gave up and came back. We're in the middle of a big industrial area, and every was leaving at the same time ... with no traffic lights!
I'm thinking it'll be easier when I get out at midnight.

I heard about this on the radio on the way home from w*rk ... and the first person I thought of was you, Shea. Evidently, Detroit is affected too. According to what was said, the giant amusement park Cedar Point (between Cleveland and Toledo) has its power out also. The effects of the outage must be huge.
So far, I seem to be okay. The traffic lights and power are just fine, for the moment. I hope you can stay cool, Shea!

All those people walking over the bridges ... I wonder where they're going after that? The trains are out ... the subways are out ...

Cedar Point is out?! I've been thinking about people trapped on elevators and on subways, but I didn't think about people being stuck on roller coasters! *thud*
