I'm sure the comment about us having a "Third World" power grid was someone's idea of another anti-American disparagement.

The truth is, and I assure you that I am in a position to know ... we have one of the finest power systems in the world here in the Northeastern US. Don't believe every slur and inflamitory statement you hear, Doc. smiley - winkeye

The power outage was caused by a lightning strike near Niagara, New York. It was simply an act of nature that hit a vulnerable spot on a very hot and steamy afternoon. smiley - smiley
