Sorry. I was in a silly mood back then. Today I'm somewhat more serious as I watch Hurricane Earl approach (or not) my area at the end of the week. If it comes, there will be a lot of rain, and I live in a floodplain.

I'm fine so far. The hurricane looks as if it may be heading for the coast of North Carolina now.

I didn't realise there were any hurricanes going around at the moment. Maybe I should start watching the news

There are one or two more hurricanes forming after Earl. September is usually a major month for hurricanes. Sometimes the darn things cross the Atlantic and both the British isles.

I thought it had to be hot to have hurricanes...maybe it's just wintery here

Hurricanes bring the heat from the tropics to the temperate zones.

Relax. There are a lot of people in the same boat. Geography is easy to forget, and there are times (like the early 1990s) when a lot of countries get renamed and assume new boundaries.

Goegraphy never really had much to do with locations of countries. I did an entire unit on the football industry.

Geography at evil school for me was all about how many people go to the shops, which shops they go to, how much they spend, etc... Needless to say, I failed Geography...

I didn't even get to do it as a proper subject. I thought i would be able to get a good grad in it, but they weren't actually running it. So I got to chosoe between history, sport and drama...history sucked

Even the history of sport and the history of drama? *Everything* that is around you will be history some day.

I know, but it was all about the world wars. It should have been called 'propoganda' or 'random cartoon and things people wrote about the war and stuff'. It was even worse when our teacher had an operation - said she would be away for a week - and didn't come back for months. We got a few months good teaching and she went again. WE ended up with another teacher that was no where near as good

I'm sorry that you lost a good teacher, even temporarily.

I was the only person to get the grade i was predicted...not sure how.
