5+6+6+9+2+8+6=42 (How Damn Lucky is THAT?)
It's been a long time, friends and family.
While I was never pre-BBC days on h2g2, I was definitely pre-brunel... so go with the classic Goo if you know what is good for you. I was known as The Theory http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U186705" >http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/U186705 or Sir Theory... and as the standard refrain goes, I have no clue what my log in crap is anymore. So now I'm SirTTheory. Which is a tad awkward, but it works. The thing I mourn most, perhaps, about starting over is I used to have a nice user number that started off something like... 187... and now it's all the way up to , what? Six? Eight?
Regardless, I want to see if I can't get back into the ach too gee too groove. Because it was this site that catapulted my internet usage and love of communicating with internet folks.
I enjoy reading a lot. For the past month all that I've read seems to be Madeleine L'Engle. Up to a month ago all I had read really was The Time Quartet (A Wrinkle In Time, ect), which is good, but I was sort of scared to venture further into her writings. Well, I did... and I never looked back. Her talent in writing is painting marvelous characters that I really care about. My favorite books are always those who make you feel like the characters are really good friends, and L'Engle CONSTANTLY achieves that.
One of my big obsessions is music, and lately I've been on a big Sonic Youth kick. I have been a fan for, what? at least three year... but three weeks ago I saw them live for the first time, and while it was only a 45 minute set it was like heaven. Such a great band. So I've been trying to complete my SY collection... which is a lot harder than you might innitially think. Because even though I already owned their regular studio albums, they've done a LOT of obscure noise releases that can be hard to come by. Especially when you start tossing Thurston Moore into the mix.
Anyway, that is all I've got right now. I'm sure this page will be a constant work in progress for several weeks until I re-learn GuideML and make this page more "official."
