I take it that as a returning member you'll benefit from going over Feisor's Hints and Links at A719840 ...as a refresher that kind of thing. A couple things Feisor doesn't refer to directly are the Researchers' Map at A5076614 and the Personal Space Workshop at A1123354. You might find the Workshop a useful supplement to Spicing Up Your User Page. And regardless, helpful in making your page more "official".

Even though I never officially joined the ACEs I enjoyed going to the new people's pages and saying hi anyway. Because it sure is encouraging as a newbie to getting attention all of a sudden just for signing up. Plus, you run into totally spectacular people!

That's actually how I started on the road to ACEhood, so to speak. I'd skim through the recent registrants(for sociological purposes and a bit of curiosity) & say hi to a number of them. Kept in touch with an Aussie I met that way for about 2 years! I welcomed an American recently who was a bit shocked at the prompt attention as well as the personal element(that it wasn't an automated welcome.
