Well, have fun with that one. smiley - smiley

I've got a list of websites on my user page. Seven active ones, I think. There are more, but I've either abandoned them or finished work on them. smiley - puff

Well I just finished off my last piece of coursew*rk for the year last night. It was a bit of a rush, too. That'll learn me. smiley - winkeye

Needless to say (or is it? smiley - winkeye), I'm not doing anything to my websites until after the exams now. What with The Big C Domain getting two new styles and a new forum system and Grey Fusion recieving a finished copy of my administration program so the staff can get on with their w*rk, I think they'll survive for a bit. smiley - smiley

I just finished off my group project. Phew! I never want to do anything like that again.

Now it's exam time! Woohoo!

Plus Westlands Tower coding of course smiley - smiley

At the moment, it's not at all, because i've been too busy. I'm hoping to rectify that situation before long though.

Hope so. Sounds promising, as I've no doubt mentioned earlier. smiley - smiley

In my case, I'll be back to coding/learning PHP in three weeks. smiley - smiley

Woohoo! PHP rocks of course. smiley - smiley

It most certainly does. smiley - smiley

I remember first having a look at it a while back. I couldn't even get my head round the Hello World thing. smiley - winkeye But then I did some programming at college, had another look at PHP and understood it all! (Just about. smiley - winkeye)

I simply can't imagine building a new website without database support now. smiley - winkeye

I don't find myself needing database support for everything, but it's certainly useful! I'm working on one using just SSI at the moment - PHP might be fancier, but you don't need everything it can do all the time, and SSI itself is surprisingly powerful...

That's true, I suppose. smiley - smiley
Still, I remember when I was thinking of upgrading my hosting account so I could have SSI support, but then I discovered PHP includes and didn't need to. smiley - winkeye

* tries to get his head around a server having PHP but not SSI *

That's silly!

Yes, yes it is. smiley - winkeye One & One, the people hosting three of my sites aren't really too bad. Apart from what I mentioned above and their control panel still featuring some German (they're some sort of offshoot from the German company Schlund und Partner). smiley - winkeye

Of course my new hosts, of whom I am a reseller, are very good! smiley - smiley

Excellent! My host is good, but the bandwidth limitation is a bit of a horribleness. Of course, I only use it for testing... Westlands has its own host somewhere, the details of which I'm not familiar with as I don't handle that side of things.

Yeah, bandwidth... I would offer you hosting on our server, but I don't think you'd like the bandwidth too much. It's good enough for normal sites, but I doubt it'll suffice for any community sites (and Grey Fusion's already up there, taking quite a bit). smiley - erm

Still, you can take a look if you like. smiley - smiley

I didn't do that site. smiley - winkeye

Yeah, community sites gobble bandwidth something awful... I remember the WoT community site I used to be at (which is admittedly very, very big), got its roleplaying boards shut down by the host for transferring 3GB/month... we were allowed about 1GB I think smiley - yikes

Westlands won't be that busy for a long time, I think, but that's okay, 'cos we're kind of selective and have more rules on character types and stuff than a lot of sites do. Plus, we're new, so it takes a while to get going.

I'm hoping my groovy new forums will help!

So do I! I wish you all the best with them. smiley - smiley

It is hard for new sites to grow. Grey Fusion's still pifflingly small. smiley - winkeye
