I'll certainly have a look at it. smiley - smiley

If you ever come and have a look around, let me know a while beforehand and I might be able to turn up at some point if you have any specific questions or just want a general idea from an unofficial perspective.

Yes, so do I.

I won't mention what I've been up to lately, it's not been fun.

I won't ask you then. smiley - winkeye

I haven't been up to much. Coursework, website management, changing avatars all over the place to reflect my new managerial position at TDGN. smiley - winkeye

Hah, well the best thing I've been doing lately is getting a new Wheel of Time Roleplaying site up and running. We're currently on temporary forums, working on finishing of the Handbook which will tell people everything they need to know about our rules, principles, aims and objectives, and sorting out queries from the membership on things like character status, staff responsibility, roleplay quality etc. etc. We're a tad on the demanding side on that latter, I have to admit, but then we did mostly come from the same WoT RP site which we felt was slipping badly on the roleplaying, so we decided to set up a site where good roleplaying was the main objective.

In the mean time, I'm also working (between bits of coursework) on a whole new set of scripts for the new forums, membership system etc. etc.

The site we currently have is located at http://www.nwtuk.com and is in a very 'under-construction' state. I don't know if unregistered members can read all the forums - I believe that they probably can't - so you might not be able to see much. Oh well. If you do see any postings by anyone, the ones by Eldhrin are mine smiley - smiley

Had a look at the site - I'm impressed! I don't at all know what's going on, of course (only played a demo version of WoT myself, and didn't do too well smiley - winkeye), but the boards certainly look busy! smiley - wow

Good luck with the new system! smiley - ok

It's more than just the game - that's a side issue, and mostly ignored as inconsequential. The series of books is central to the foundation of that site.

Some people do seem to find it confusing - I really don't understand why though. Oh well. Maybe when we get the handbook online things will become clearer.

There's a series of books?

(There really ought to be a 'woah' smiley. Kind of a combination of smiley - yikes and smiley - wow. smiley - winkeye*

Yes, the whole thing's based on the books. The game was based on the books... as is the 3rd Edition AD&D world that Wizards of the Coast recently released.

I've got a Guide Entry on Recommended status on the whole lot, if you're interested.

Wow, I never realised the game was actually based on something.

OK, I'll have a look for it, if I have time. smiley - smiley

Believe me, the books are a lot better than the game!

* wonders if there's still a plan to write a Wheel of Time mod for Unreal II *

* thinks it might be fun to work on *

I'll take your word for it. smiley - smiley

I do hope that, if you should consider such a thing, that you would bring the project over to my website. smiley - winkeye

Incidentally, Unreal Editing is somewhat... lacking in activity right now, due to my incessant coursew*rk. Once that's out of the way, and either Unreal II or Unreal Tournament 2 are out, I'll be able to do some more work. smiley - smiley

Mmm, I have quite a lot of work to do at the moment as well. And also I'm waiting for Unreal II to come out to re-learn everything!

Yeah, that's the same reason I'm cancelling the map I was working on - waste of time making it now, when UT2'll be out soon.
