Pyrmont bridge and it's only pedestrian traffic these days. No idea if that was WRs fault...

Wrinkled Rocker Posted Oct 29, 2006
'Twas during the paralympics that I visited Sydney, Oz for a Hospital Engineer's conference. I was severly jet-lagged at the time and through most of the proceedings! I made up for it by wandering about the sights of the Bay until 3am each night. Each morning I was rudely awoken by a telephone call at 5:30 from my flatmate's little kids who were going to bed in South Africa and just wanted to say "Goodnight" to their Daddy.
(One time he was also disoriented and thought that somebody was there to see him. He walked out the door and it duly closed on him, thereby locking him out. Security couldn't work out what a man clad only in briefs was doing walking up and down the fire escape...)
I didn't drive or ride anything over the Pyrmont bridge at the time, SO IT WASN'T ME...!

Tis o comfort t'know that someone other than me leads a varied and interesting life.
Ye winterish months and frosty mornings do make me feel like I should be a hibernatin'

Ahem... *clears throat by way of signaling a change in topic*
Having garnered very little knowledge on the subject, I see that The Ashes test series is about to begin in Bribane. Are any of you excited about this?

Brisbane... I knew I was missing the S, it was a test to see if you were paying attention... NOT a misspelling of that glorious city's name.

Oh I dunno! I rather prefer Bribane as it has a certain 'ring' to it!
The bane of my life wants to pay Sky an additional £20 per month, just so he can watch the cricket. As much as I enjoy cricket, I really do resent paying the money-grabbing at Sky TV to watch sports that were once upon a time supposed to be aired free of charge.
There! Are you happy now Mari? It's not 10.00 am on a Monday morning and you have given me an excuse to rant.
