I have dusted and removed the cobwebs.
Hopefully I am back on a more permanent basis now that I have finished my college course and had my brain cell surgically removed. (I had a hysterectomy and other 'stuff' fixed at the end of the summer, so now all I have to cope with is being chucked into the
menopause
at the deep end).

Oh yes! Must have been yet another of increasingly frequent senior moments...I quite forgot about the .
By the by, Linus.
Have you really bought a pub?

20 year lease on my local, believe it or not
Been a bit of a nightmare actually due to major problems with my partner and his dodgy bookkeeper.
Thankfully i have some other investments about to pay off big time and i will be able to get rid of the hopeless and run it myself.

Congratulations! Sorry to learn about the partner and his dodgy bookkeeper though.
Mind you, I'm not envious of you. I had a part-time (second) job in a real ale pub way back in the 1980's, and my ex and I looked after it for a week whilst the landlord & landlady went on holiday. It put me off running a pub for life! Talk about hard work! (There was one lunch time when I prepared over 150 meals!)
Does your pub have a website so I can see some pictures?

Wowbagger, impressively casual entrance my friend.

Gwennie, tell your daughter I'm suitably impressed, though not surprised having seen her artistic abilities. Congrats!
Linus, 'Casual' is my middle name.

It is fantastic to have you both back home! I'm quite overcome. Wowbagger, will you be creating new h2g2 Life cartoons for the Post? Gwennie, I've just emailed you. How great it is to come back from holiday to find old friends here!
Linus, I tried emailing you again too, but it came back as undeliverable.

Yes. My mutant sulk-a-lot is now 'that old' Sho , and I find it hard to believe that she will be 20 next year.
I will pass your messages on to my aged daughter and seek her permission to email you links to some of her work.

Permission given Gwennie .
And m-r, no more h2g2lifes from me I'm afraid. My brood has now expanded to two kids (One is 5 and a half, one is 19 months). Cartooning time is non-existent, as is sleeping time and sanity time. No complaints though.
Linus, I have Google Earth. How do I find your pub?

mari-rae Posted Oct 18, 2006
Linus! I'll give it a go. I'd like to google earth your pub too.
Does it have a website?
I'm happy to hear about your growing family, Wowbagger. Boy or girl?
