Note to self:
Never, ever leave home for more than two days.
Gone for a week, faced with 18 calls on the answering machine, two faxes, five letters and 85 e-mails ... not to mention the h2g2 backlog

What is this person trying to tell us (a random examples):
"nick name number is 19xxxx so plz could u give me some info asap.plz thanxs i chat about anything really what you into etc cheak on here soon.bfn"
Or
"HIHOWS U"
Or
"Hiya Ppl...I'm new here but I don't have a clue wot 2 do,I only go on LD..Can ne1 tell me how 2 work this plz??"
I mean, I can understand *what* they are saying. But the question is what do they expect from h2g2? Seems like a new breed of researchers, seems like all the old school HHGTTG fans are here already and a fair sshare of new ones come here without a clue.
I guess this will affect the guide in the long run.
Change is inevitable... except from a vending machine.

Fading to grey ...?

Plan an '80s party with some of the flatmates.
Wallow in memories. Make lists of things that remind you of the '80s. Ask the other flatmates whether they like the motto.
Be reminded that they were born in 1983 and that the '80s are only a hazy shade of recollections to them.
Listen to Visage's "Fade to grey" 12"-Version to get over that...

Hanging out of windows and buying too many flights to London

Decide to go to the London Meet-Up: Check
Book hotel: Check
Book flight: Check
Coming home the phone (Lord of the) rings. Friend of mine telling me that she's got vouchers of two flights to London. Do I want to buy one for really cheap money? Yes, No, Help, Cancel.
No: Check
Great!
So today I went to hang out of the window for a while. Handy to know a rock-climber (Go climb one). Makes cleaning the panes less of a pain.
