Hey, this is a personal journal. Did the BBC teach you reading an other person's journal? 
What "what"? 
I knew what I meant when writing it.
h2g2 ails as it takes up *too much* of my time.
h2g2 cures as it at times provides what I lack IRL.
Both features add to h2g2's addictiveness.
Easy as that.

Aha, I see now.
No, the Beeb didn't teach me anything about reading journals. I've been reading yours for ages, it just doesn't change much. As it did I wanted to comment. Slightly late, but never mind.

I always wondered how many people actually take an interest in them.
Fact is that not a lot is happening in the journal as not a lot is happening IRL and I can't think of anything really witty or worthwile to put down there. Thought of writing more frequently but never had the inspiration. 
Not to worry about being late... the things I write here stay current for a long(ish) time... another facet of not wrint much here...
Do you still read the Mina-conversations?

It feels rude somehow to answer a really old journal, as if it's saying - couldn't be bothered to come and see your page before now!
I do still read Mina's conversations, but not as often as I'd like to. I answer some as Linda, but some need Mina's gentle touch. Weekends are good for that.

Ah, not to worry! I must admit that I don't really keep in touch with other people's UPages... 
Yeah, I can imagine that its' hard to juggle two personalities on h2g2... especially if you have to watch your steps as an Italic. How's the job going, then?

The job is going great! I really love it here, and I'm glad I got the chance to show what I can really do.
It does mean I don't get a lot of time to post here anymore, but I think I was spending too much time hanging about in the forums anyway.

what more could you ask for... a job that fulfills your needs...

Oh, don't tell me about time wasted on forums. But it's the feedback that pays.
You wake up thinking that you spent too much time on being 
on h2g2 and bending the house rules a but... then you realise that it gave you something that you were looking for. Pretty much what the journal entry is about.
A lot of people let h2g2 take up too much of their time. Maybe you should get yourse lawyers dream up some defense against that...
