We are back online, but I am without a PC desk. Typing on the old dining table isn't very comfortable


The latest on Neal is that he's had his third operation on his left leg. This latest one was to pin his broken and dislocated ankle and his toes. The leg now seems stable enough and should all go well, they are looking at moving him, possibly over the weekend, to the hospital in Chester.

VV, his family and many friends will be happy when that happens!

This will probably be the final update on Neal and his recovery.

Last night, after being allowed home during the afternoon for a test run on his ability to cope in the house, Neal was discharged from the ward

VV was shown how to give him the anti-blood clotting injection , and by 9pm he brought home

Neal will be confined to a wheelchair for a while longer yet, then, with physiotherapy, he will progress to crutches. Shame he missed pirate day - Ooooh arrr me hearties!


Both families thank you all for your caring support at what was a very frightening time for Neal and VV

It is always good to hear about sick people getting better. Reading about Neal this early in the morning is a good start on a day which - being a Saturday - was already very fine to begin with

Thanks Lil for the great news! So good to hear of that progress and here's hoping Neal's wheelchair days are numbered for all the right reasons. We'll be looking forward to that 'all clear'.

Thanks for the update Lil. The blokes in wheelchairs and mobility scooters think they are F1 drivers some times

Wish him a speedy recovery, without trying to progress too fast and putting himself back.
