Mmmmmmmmmmm sounds delicious I love pork tenderloin too...........or any pork come to that
especially the crackling!
Generally, my days when I'm working are mostly spent sleeping and then preparing for work again so not very exciting The plumber came today to fix the boiler, which he was half successful with.........he got the pilot going again but I need a new fan apparently and he has to order one of those, so am still without heating and hot water
Thank goodness I have an electric shower in the bathroom or you'd be smelling me in Canada by now
Are you looking forward to the departure tomorrow or is the company pleasant?

It does almost sound like time for a replacement boiler, ... it'll slowly cost it's own value in replacement parts. Never a happy thing, is it? Though I'm quite sure you'd still smell lovely, my dear. Just "richer" ...
The company is indeed pleasant, but in a way I will be happy to see the departure. I've put over 300 km on the car driving the Mrs and her folks for various shoppings. He is the worst, like a 90-yr-old woman. Pick at it, question the available colours and styles, query why you can't get it just so, then decides he didn't want one anyway. For EVERYthing !!!!! I just drive, then tag along. Thus the back, legs and knees gone awry again.
But the updside, I took the whole week off, so I will have Friday ALL TO MYSELF. Milady is back to work. *sigh*

I'll let whoever buys the house worry about the boiler For now, I'll just keep it ticking along and functioning! Not going to spend out £100's when I'm going to be moving anyway
Having visitors is a bit like going away on holiday..........it's lovely while your there but it's oh so nice to come home and sleep in your own bed again With visitors, it's lovely to see them but great when they go home and you can have the house to yourself again!
I shall be sleeping for a while on Friday but should be about sometime during the day However, my pc seems to be getting worse with every passing day and not sure whether I'll be able to use it over the weekend
Might try reloading Windows and see what happens!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, *licks lips*
So then, is the night settling into a relatively calm flow? Did you start early as you had hoped to? And why am I always full of questions?
I know milady will miss the folks terribly, but yes, it will also be a bit of calm here as well. That was the main reason I took an extra day off. To sit back with , and PC. And no one else needing "just one more thing, dear...."
In your case, I would try a re-load "Repair" operation of Windows, rather than a full wipe and re-do. And perhaps the "Windows Update" option for any service packages needed. It'll perhaps tie up a couple hours, but less than a complete install, and then all of your programs, account informations, .....
*extended wondering what dessert may have been...*

The night is calming down nicely now and I think I'll settle for an inner eyelid examination fairly soon Didn't get much sleep with the plumber coming round today
Am sure you'll have a lovely relaxing day on Friday and if I can get online to chat I will.........but each time I restart my pc it gets slower and slower and more problems booting up........am going to have to get it sorted somehow and soon!
The problem with windows update is that I cant access any web pages so don't think I could even get to the updates to download them
Desert was a piece of crystallised ginger........so stink of garlic and ginger now

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 14, 2004
Double-mmmmmmmmm. Oh, about the desert stuff too, of course.
I did leave a brief e-mail, for your considerations. Just FYI.
I'm thinking that the basic Windows Repair/Install might be enough to get Internet Explorer atleast back to where it started. And then to look for better or newer fixes. At this point, you've little to lose, eh?
How-ever, we'll probably also be doing lid-inspections soon, so I'll wish you a quiet night, and a safe trip home. When-ever that is, ... you've still not said if early or normal. *sigh*
Be good, be careful, or atleast have a helluva lot of fun. I'll check in as wakings occur.

Have already done an internet explorer repair run and nothing improved - if anything it's worse now so will see what happens over the w/e when I have a bit more time!
Am finishing an hour early so will be home by 7.30 and hopefully asleep by 8am
Take care and wishing you many sweet dreams

Not quite gone yet, my dear. Still sniffing for cross-winds from Wales .... *mmmmmmmmmmmm*
IE alone may not be enough, there may be under-lying bits of Windows that marry in with IE. They are so intrinsically linked. In any case, you've a good sense of the PC, so what-ever your judgement... I do wish you
Now, go rest those lids, and I'll call later on, somewhere, sometime.....
G'night, m'dear. &

Still here, ... caught a brief second wind. And thank you for the sentiment, my dear. At all times, may what-ever higher being there is smile upon you as well.
Raised Catholic, in my early teens, some questions came up that the clergy couldn't or wouldn't answer. So I continue to seek, in any world religions I can find. Hoping that even perhaps a blend will "feel" right. But I will never question or denigrate anyone else's beliefs, faiths or practices, so long as they hurt no one else. Just a tid-bit about me.
Must now be meal-break time, 'officially', then hopefully some restful bits of time. So I'll not intrude further.
Until when-ever I next wake, ... ideas, wishes and hopes for you, and many warm embraces to see you through .....

And just found an e-mail with an effective treatment scheme for aches and groans from excessive exertions. Sounding quite worth pondering.... And now I drift into the land of Nod. my dear lady H.

tsarina Posted Oct 14, 2004
When I said *God Bless* it was not meant with any religious connotations.........more just a general salutation and well wishing I too was brought up in the 'church' altho not a Catholic and found as I grew older that it was not something I wanted to be a part of! I did briefly return for a while about 10 yrs back but found the hypocracy too hard to stomach
So altho I do believe in a *higher power*, it is definitely not GOD in the conventional sense! I tend to live my life by the dictum..........do unto others as you would be done by.........it works for me

tsarina Posted Oct 14, 2004
Glad you found the mail............it will give you something to think about as you drift into a peaceful slumber
Take care now and should you wake, you know where to find me, although I will be leaving early this morning don't forget!!!

Sorry my one waking was only at 8 UK, ... you were long gone.
As relates to any religious beliefs or practices, my dear, I firmly believe to each their own. I don't push my notions, and hope no-one else does either.
So I hope you do get some good sleep today, my dear, and I will certainly look for you tonight. Until then, tucking your covers in snugly, I offer light g'night kisses and a wish for pleasant dreams.

Am back at my desk ready to start work again in a couple of mins
I tried to send an Email this evening from home but my pc is getting worse............don't know whats going to happen over the w/e but if I dont get it fixed I may not be online much sorry MSN still appears to be working for the time being tho
catch you later

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 14, 2004
I've not sent any e-mails yet, so any thoughts at all that cross your mind... always appreciatively received. As your time does permit.
I have almost the entire day to myself tomorrow. Until about noon UK, then 2 pm to 10 pm. So if you find yourself on MSN at all during those times, .....
The PC, ... *sigh* ... if a Windows repair doesn't help, (perhaps 15 minutes or so), then it may indeed need a full wipe and install from scratch. Including MSN, and other working programs, etc. DO you know any techy kids that can 'archive' important bits for you?
When you've time, I've got the s,

I keep starting this reply and then some inconsiderate person wants me to find a number for them I think this is going to take a while to type and post at this rate
The step-son of a friend of mine is a bit of a computer geek and he'll come and have a look at it for me.........just not sure when thats all! Hopefully sometime over the weekend
Not sure what time I'll be online tomorrow - am so off with the pc at the moment
Also have some house viewings booked for Saturday so some last minute tidyings and sprucing up will need to be done! Am sure by early evening I should be able to 'clock off' and take some *me* time

I can only hope the step- can find a simple cure for you, my dear. How-ever, ... I'll wait as long as you need and refrain from e-mails. Mostly so as to not discomfit the young ones with "Mom's friends" stuff.
I know how intrusive and rude clients can be. Don't the ers know that they are intruding on real-life? Sheeeesh.
And now, wait no longer for <

my dear
It's been so busy tonight and everytime I try and write something to you I get interrupted...........it's SO frustrating
We've found another way of getting onto the internet and it's NOT breaking company rules this time so no fear of dismissal well..........not til they find out and plug the hole anyway
Hope it calms down soon

Sorry for the delay. Milady has fretted over the precarious state of her work, ... our day to day worries and concerns of our finances, preparing for her parents visit, the illness and then decisions needed to put our baby-cat to rest, the actual visit, and then their departure. I happened to be on the PC when a question came to mind and she blew her
top.
I couldn't respond that I too have carried all of the same, some more intimately than she. And that is not something I could say, ... that I face and pay the bills and see the numbers, that I signed the paper and then held our girl as she slept, that I smiled and drove the distance and tagged along for a week, .....
I couldn't fully bite my tongue, so I went into the rains for a long walk. And when I get home, she asks what's wrong, ... I can't answer.
Sorry, I needed to spill it somewhere.
