Even a bejewelled crowning is dulled by your beauty, my lady. And this is but a most simple greeting from a lowly vassal.

Poses infront of the mirror and admires the nice shiny sparkly Tiara but decides that she looks just as pretty without it.......not wanting to put Nick into a brown mood and practising the new self esteem regime

You might even look at my friends' PS for a "New Life". In the very recent past, he explained to two friends why he is stepping away ..... including a tea place ....

And I am SOOOOOO pleased that you had a wonderful "away" time. You might mail the details, in brief or ......

Have just read your friend's PS and fully understand what he's saying! It's too easy to get too involved and take those worries and cares away with you! Sometimes a step back and assessment of what you want is a good option
Are your visitors still with you?

My in-laws arrive tomorrow (Sunday) about 1:30 pm. And they'll depart again the same time Thursday. So after tonight, ... I'll be mostly off-line. It's only polite, eh?
So please, as time permits, do tell the where and why of the extended days-off ,... No need for explicits (here ) Just the general stuff.
And how is the night going? Saturday is probably one of the busier ones, every nut-bar looking for food, a taxi, a date, ....
s, lovely friend

Of course you must be offline It's only right if you have guests in the house! Altho, I would probably run to the pc for sanctuary after a while I think
My main purpose for being away for a couple of days was to visit friends in the area! One is a South African friend who's now living over here permanently and I've known him for ages, the other is a friend who runs a guest house there! He's a chef and cooked me a lovely meal last night and breakfast was the full works in the morning
It's a fairly normal saturday night so far with the usual mix of drunks, idiots and pervs Some things never change!
A big & for you

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 9, 2004
So to get away from the usual drunks, idiots and pervs, you come to me?
I'm glad you had some time away from it all, my dear. And I'm sure it was a terrible hardship to have the dinner of a dream, ... and then breakfast. *sigh* The things you must tolerate for friends, eh?
I do hope you've found some friends in your tea shoppe as well, to help pass the night. I may very well have enjoyed it, but I also saw it as perhaps trading one crowd and their personal woes for another. And for now, I need a breather. After a couple of others attempting suicide, .....
BTW, silly little B'Elana phoned me yesterday. At 2 pm her time. She didn't think an e-mailled birthday greeting was enough. You just have to love a sweet girl like that, eh?

tsarina Posted Oct 9, 2004
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww she's a very sweet lady
And I haven't even wished you a Happy Birthday yet (mentally slaps her wrist)
I hope you had a really nice day and that you were suitably spoilt and pampered?
I've had a lot going on the last couple of days and I'm afraid it completely slipped my mind I've lost the sale of the house and have to start from scratch again........the couple who were going to buy it have split up and have pulled out of the purchase.........this means that I also lose the house I was going to buy too This news was given to me while I was away and it rather put a dampener on my little break! This is just as information.........I don't want to burden you with my worries
Anyway, a huge and to make up for missing your birthday

A lot of "my" day was grass cutting and worrying about a very . But I did have a fabulous supper of chicken schnitzel and pork schnitzel. We splits halvsies on two dinners. And then a bit of wine toast.... 20 years since the day we met as well. Yup, we met ON my 25th.
I am so sad and sorry to hear of the house-sale fall-through. I do know you had your heart set on the new place. All I can do is wish you great patience and luck with another go at it.
And please, do NOT be bothered by missing a date. Except for that "20th" aspect, it is usually a date I prefer to forget. My family totally did, twice, ... my 9th and 12th. My 17th was over-shadowed by a wedding of the golden-child, first-born and all of that. Oddly enough, every year, the other 5 have been remembered from birth to today. I DID get a call from Mom, a wish and telling me the card will be mailed on Tuesday. (Monday a holiday for us)
s and a massive load of wandering s .....

I was completely gutted about the house.........it took us 12 months to find a buyer the last time (it's an unusual house and quite rural so not everyone's cup of tea)..........the thought of going through all that again is enough to drive me to the nuthouse I think still I don't suppose I have much choice!
Am pleased your Mum rang.........at least she remembered even if the card wasn't sent out in time!!!
I do hope your passed away peacefully and didn't suffer a lot of pain?

I also know you are going to "dinner" break soon. I have no idea anymore what e-mails may await. My serive at work was so very shakey, many getting lost, others showing up hours later. In BOTH idrections. So in brief, you can scan what-ever may be there, but they are all very dated.
I do hope you get your own PC up and humming again, my dear. I know I'd feel disconnected from the world should ours go 'lame'.
I may be asleep by the time you return, so... if that's the case, you do know I shall try to sleep -sweet and dream -wise.
Sometime later, my dear Lady H. s and s through-out the night .....

Nick
Do try and sleep well and leave the cares and problems of the hootoo world where they belong.............in hootoo!!! Your sleep and well being are far more important
Anyway, am sure you can find so much nicer things to dream about
Warm s and es to make your dreams more pleasant!

And one more thing, .... I meant to post a bit earlier. You are no burden or worry. You are one of the few that call just to say "Hi", not only when no-one else is to be found. To dump your woes. And that is what I call a true friend.
Enjoy your 'break', perhaps a bit of inner-eye-lid inspection if the phones permit, and I'll pop around as time and occassional wakey's happen.
Final bit about my little girl , ... I held her until her tired but subtle purrs became permanent sleep. She probably did have misery a day or so ago, but her last number of hours were a bit drug-hazed and peaceful. And her last minutes were being cuddled by us both. And then I sent "Mum" out of the room, ... I know she couldn't have taken that. So I held and stroked, even after I felt the last beat.... She was part of our lives for over 13 years. *sniffle again*
Now, go and be obnoxiously sweet to the drunks and idiots. And do have a fine and safe night, my dear lady. s for ....

tsarina Posted Oct 10, 2004
Am so glad that your 'little girls' last hours were peaceful and loving I had the same experience with a foal quite a few yrs ago now..............she was only a few hours old but beautiful and fragile and she died in my lap..........I'm afraid I cried for hours afterwards The vet said that she was born with a congenital lung disorder and nothing could've been done for her!
It's still a little busy on the phones but hopefully it will die down to a more sedate level soon and I shall be able to relax and close my eyes for a while
Meanwhile, you go and get some well earned sleep and I shall catch up with you tomorrow!

Sorry, my dear, but I'll not be back on the PC until Thursday evening. My in-laws arrive today (Sunday) and are with us for a few days. It would be rather rude to ignore them and muck about on the PC, eh?
SO you be good and careful, my dear. And I'll call in when I can. Good luck flogging your home PC into submission again as well.
