Well, the one upshot is that it'll be all new devices and equipment again. I do enjoy variety and challenges in the work. In any case, I may work a bit more flexibility into the shop set-up. The "supervisors" have been quite dependend on my the past year, getting that shop up and running. So, .... Basically, I'll see how it all goes, and work with it.
How is your night progressing? Is it calm enough for you to wind down a bit, perhaps find a few word-games or chats to entertain you a bit?

I wish you with the new work place!
I'ts quite quiet tonight which is just as well as there's only 3 of us on the night shift tonight and one of them is doing overtime to help us out We've got 2 off on leave and another went home sick about an hour ago which leaves me and one other from the night team! I shall hopefully be taking it easy a bit later on
Keep meaning to ask too...........have any undesirables found out your new id?

One lad came knocking a few nights ago, one who's not been a bother to me but a small number of friends. I was polite but cool, ... I don't think he'll return.
A nice enough lad, until teaming up with a very confused and confusing girl-child. I can only hope he'll find the distance he needs before he alienates all of those who called him "friend".
Have you found any of your long-time fun-folks on-line yet tonight? Early in the week, even hootoo is frequently quiet, so I've mostly just been watching inane TV until the body gives up.
& with one big , for a friend.

Whoops, looks like you've either been bumped or really, REALLY gotten busy. Sorry my dear, but it is now my time. But as usual, I will pop around if I wake as the night goes on.
You please be good, careful homeward bound, and perhaps have some fun in between. And if the e-mails elicit a repost, I'll find that too.
Until a later time, my dear Lady H, , and a really long

We had a really major problem with the systems at work........everything went down and we had to call the IT bods in to sort things out! All we could do was find the number and read it out verbally........no sms, connection or suto number readout Been like that for at least 3 hours.........just come back online now 3.50am
Got your Email thanx but no time to formulate a suitable reply sorry will try and get an Emai8l back to you from home soon

Poor dear, the place must have seemed quite frantic for awhile. But all is back up and "normal" again? I do hope you don't have anyone particularly young working tonight, say early 20s. Without PC's, they'd almost have a nervous collapse.
In any case, I am pleased you got my note. And I hope it allowed a bit of restful thought after the scurry. Did you also see the goofy little man? He was barely 48 hours old then, but apparently is beginning to resemble my Dad quite a lot as he 'fleshes out'.
And now again, away to more sleep. I hope you find a bit of time for some rest yourself, my dear. Then quietly and safely home. And then, if not sooner, ... I'll find you again on the next night shift.
Until then, and s galore, fine lady friend.

The little one looks really cute Somewhat strange facial expression tho Babies do pull some strange faces tho!
It was a bit fraught tonight with half the system gone but we got by..........you do when you have to! Don't think the IT guys were too amused at being got out of bed and into work at 1am in the morning tho
I shall certainly be careful driving home, am tired tonight. Can't wait for the shift to end now!
Take care and hope your having some pleasant dreams
Speak soon

Except for one 'wakey', my sleep went well. And you can rest assured the dreams did too. I only hope you are right now enjoying the same rest, my dear.
I'll come looking for you later ....

No worries or rush, my dear. I know that Friday is 2nd only to Saturday for busy there. When-ever you've time.
Then in pieces, you can fill me in how the past couple of days went, options on a house-sale perhaps, an evening with a friend. Anything REALLY good too.
Later, my friend.

tsarina Posted Oct 22, 2004
It seems to be going in fits and starts tonight........busy for a bit then quiet so have a little time to post
Not much to report from the last couple of days really House sale seems to be confirmed and going ahead and I've got the house back that I was going to buy originally so everything is looking good
The end of another week for you and the prospect of a relaxing weekend perhaps?
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 22, 2004
Oh dear, if I could dance at all, I'd do a little jig for you. House sale prospects looking so verrrry good. But I'll not jinx anything by getting too excited. Just cross fingers, toes, and, .... well, ....
As of yet, I've no ideas of necessary stuff this week-end. Typical dust, wipe and tidy of the house. Laundry that builds as we both work the week away. Probably we'll set out various Hallowe'en "decor" in the gardens/yard. I usually build a couple of graves as well. So in all, I don't think anything too strenuous.
You've omitted to mention yesterday, ... you expected an evening out? Does that require e-mails?
We may step out for supper at a (retired air force) club, so don't worry if I'm away an hour or two myself.

We're back. Someone's idea of lasagne. Put it in a bowl and it could've been tomato, beef and noodle soup. But filling for perhaps the same as 1.25 UK pound each, with a bread-roll. And it supports our club.
Has there been any respite? Or comments on my last posting?

Sounds delightful perhaps M'Lady should volounteer her catering services???
Still, at least it was cheap and cheerful
It's been busy tonight and I went out for the food order too which took a while as it was a long order
Hows your evening going?

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 22, 2004
The evening wasn't too bad until a few minutes ago. Our last phone call with our (step) grand-daughter. Tomorrow, she, a younger brother and their Mommy fly from Newfoundland to Alberta, about 3800 miles. To live. That puts her further from us, in the other direction. And in houses of people we do not know at all. We'll probably not see her again, except a rare pic, until she is old enough to find her own way to travel. She's not yet 7, so that is a LOT of years.
And having been no comments, I offer no more queries about last night, ... out, ....
and still rather

tsarina Posted Oct 22, 2004
I'm sorry to hear about your (step) granddaughter I guess it must be hard living in such a vast country? At least here even to get from North to South doesn't take more than a 24 hour drive! I can do Cardiff to Edinburgh in Scotland in 7.5 hours and that's over 300 miles but nowhere is very far from anywhere else here
As for last night............there's not a lot to report........was just a drink and chat with a friend and yes, he is male, but purely a friend I did stay over at his house but that's because we drank 2 bottles of red wine between us and I was a little over the limit to drive

Just FYI, it's only to explain the how or why her Mommy has any separate say that the (step) is ever mentioned. Rebecca has called us Nana and Poppy for nearly 4 years. That is real and true enough for us. And that's how we've signed birthday, Christmas and "just because" cards all along. Atleast the way has been paved for us to phone, write and send things.....
And of course I believe it was only the alcohol that kept you over. I'm sure the gentleman took the sofa or the floor, "Rock Hudson/Doris Day" style. Just teasing you, my dear.
How has the night been? Still spasms of manic and then dead? I do hope you've found someone or other to natter at during the lulls. I've not been here much for you. So sorry.
and a small battery of just hoping to lift the mood.

He has a spare bedroom and is a perfect gentleman
It's still a bit sporadic.....hectic for a while and then quiet
My eldest daughter was 4 when I married my 'ex' and his Mum and Dad always accepted her as their 'grandchild' without question and she, to this day, calls them Nan and Bamps, even tho she is now 31!

My dear, aged as I am, (29, 17 times over) I can still mighty well. I can readily out-pace my 23-yr-old daughter and son-in-law, though it is amazing how the 6-yr-old Rebecca-lady can still beat Poppy every time. In any case, I don't recommend you try to out- me, just submit and take your dues.
Yeah, your Fridays and Saturdays are totally beyond prediction, aren't they? Atleast until about 2:30 or 3'ish when most Pub's have booted the last of them. Ah well, the joys of your line of employ.... we each have our own variation.
Did I memtion that I change duties and taskings as of November 1st?
