All unpublished authors have to acknowledge that rejection is likely to occur until they find *their* publisher (like finding a partner really). The omnipresent one would claim however, that any rejection was blatant discrimination because she's a satanist, assumptions have been made about her, or the publisher is less well read and therefore qualified to judge etc. etc.
I only wish I knew so much at 18.
I really must retract my claws!

I feel the need to thank everyone for coming here and venting your own frustrations. It's been very therapeutic.
I left this site about a year ago when some situations had gotten out of control, and I found myself embroiled with S9 almost right away. I was beginning to wonder if there was something about my online persona that set people off, and maybe my modem should be modified to block all outbound traffic, for the good of all mankind.
Now I see that I am in some very good company.

I don't think there's anything about you, Blatherskite. She just seems to take joy in riling people up, and the egoism and youth doesn't help any in that respect.

How on earth did I find this thread?
Must have been fate guiding me...
I must admit it's very cathartic reading the backlog...
Hmm. S9Anonymous?

"How on earth did I find this thread?"
I've been thinking the same thing each time another researcher pops up here!
The therapeutic benefits of this thread are having a good effect upon me too. I actually found myself being irritated when I was not even logged on to h2g2, just thinking about her annoyances. At that stage I decided I needed to vent my spleen somewhat. Thanks folks.
S9Anonymous? S9A for short?
I made a little comment in the MJackson thread and a few people came out of the woodwork in support, or to add something. Maybe we need to actively canvas for S9 sufferers to come here?

I think I was perusing the stats page and I always click on conversations that look interesting... that's how I got here.
Do you know how *many* members we would get if we publicized this place?

FiedlersFizzle Posted Feb 10, 2003
I found this thread when trying to find out what Blathers was up to after posting a convo I was expecting an answer to and didn't get!!! Dolphins fans... humph!!
Anyways... I'm FiedlersFizzle and I too have had issues with the young opinionated one!!
Got burned early after mentioning her age...
Get annoyed when she claims to have watched programmes or been aware of culturally significant happenings that I can only just remember(I'm 12 years her senior!! - did she really watch Neighbours when Kylie was in it when it was originally broadcast?)
Have issues with her claiming general opinions to be fact!!! (and then failing spectacularly to demonstrate said opinions as fact... the BBC is well known to be biased and narrow minded)
All of the above regarding writing (I write too, I know the troubles)
Her forthright opinion that what she agrees with and accepts now will never change irrespective of what she may learn as she gets older - tatoos and wedding dresses come to mind!
I'll stop for now... some of you may recognize some of the conversations hinted at...
And why does she immediately explode into derogatory ranting the moment someone posts an alternative viewpoint?
Hmmm, that feels a bit better

It's only a matter of time before she turns up too.
Why do I find myself grinning at that prospect?

Because you are cruel, unsympathetic, heartless and probably stupid and miss the point, too. Oh, and the music you comment on is crap, your beliefs are stupid, and... Oh... need I go on?

Hello *friends in like disgust*
OH MY there IS HOPE!!!I have found U just in time
Thanks for the link
I suppose U all saw:
1) my MJ answer (she is verbally abusive)
2)the HI abbi in my intro area (13-15 yr old temperament)
3) and the "oyster" - front page article about improving on the human form.
I have not followed the links in here yet, so you may know about the above ones.
I thought it had escalated lately! Although I have less tolerance now too.
I have already turned all 4 cheeks up and away! There have been 50 times I have walked away saying nothing. I have begun to avoid ASK h2g2. I started using my own page to ask anything I wanted to instead. So far I have not been bothered there! I lost all patience and forgiveness for her 13 year old rage!
If she is indeed 18, then it's time to get a grip and give up the old gripe.
Ah! Really feeling better now.
Therapy IS great! Thank you ALL.

I've just given up on trying to correct her half the time. If she says something typical of herself, that's just too bad, I'll answer it if I think it's worth my time to bother with. I like the idea of just baa-aaing at her.
