From the wise words of Saturnine... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585?thread=231198&skip=100&show=20 "I'm quickly beginning to see what a t**t Mugwump is." http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585?thread=233016&skip=280&show=20 "...and looking like a bigger tw*t in the process." Congratulations and join the club

It's a really easy club to get into. All you have to do is say something slightly unflattering about one of her many idols. In my case it was Marilyn Manson.
Unfortunately, she's absolutely everywhere in Ask H2G2, putting in her ha'penny's worth (let's face is, it's not worth $.02) after each post, so there's no avoiding her. I'll just have to tune her out and read "baaaah" wherever she posts.
Here's hoping an Ignore function arrives with the next version of H2G2...

Or alternatively you can say something, *anything*, about psychiatry, or cults and she's off. She has an enormous chip on her shoulder about her being a Satanist. I was tolerating her until she rather pathetically started calling me names, for having the audacity to disagree with her (see the cloning thread). She comes across as VERY young, and whenever anyone points that fact out she flies off the handle.
Her ubiquity is getting to me too. I'll just have to take deep breaths more often, the "baaah" technique might have to be employed too . I half expect she'll turn up in this conversation in two minutes time.
Anyway, it's good to have you back. I was a bit of a newbie when you left over a year ago, finding my way around the FFFF with interest, and I was sorely dissapointed when you dissapeared.

Ahh... so *that's* where I recognize the name from...
You'd think an FFFF person would be the last one to get her back up about Satanism, too... after all, we do have a very balanced article on the subject in the archive.
Then again, the biggest drawback with Satanism is that it inspires selfishness and megalomania, so you've just shed some light on her behavior for me.
And yeah, I'm expecting her, too.

I was the one looking around the FFFF, unless she was too . I'm confused.
She has a kneejerk reaction when it comes to religion or beliefs, she automatically things she is being persecuted when in reality no-one really cares if shes a Satanist, Hindu or Muslim (or Raelian come to that). Megalomania you say?
*Looks at watch*, aaany time now she should be here...

I was talking about recognizing your name from the FFFF, not hers. Sorry for the confusion.

Gotcha
So how is the FFFF going nowadays? I haven't checked it out for ages. In fact I'll go over there now and have a look...

It's chugging along as if I'd never left. I gave the page over to another member when I left, so it never skipped a beat.

It's comforting to note that I'm not the only one who has difficulty with the guide's resident satanist.
i've had to walk away from threads more than once recently...

After Nancy Mitford (I think, it was certainly one of the Mitford Gals), who wrote a book in which behaviour for people in 'proper' society was classified as 'you' or 'non-you'.
Of course, as the Mitfords were dreadful old Nazi sympathisers, I leave you to draw your own conclusions...

I like the idea. We've already got Mutual Admiration Societies... maybe it's time for their polar opposite.

Could you imagine all of us sitting around in a virtual circle: "I'm Ste, and I have had a conversation with a satanist in Askh2g2." *applause*. "I'm Blues Shark...." etc., etc. AND THEN she found this little therapy session? How bloody hilarious would that be? We should do it for a laugh anyway.
I never got my own "fanclub"...
