I'm popping by as one of the assistant community editors or <./>ACEs</.> here. We greet newbies such as yourself and help you get settled. My colleague Feisor has compiled a comprehensive list of Hints and Links at A719840. Take your time going over that as well as checking out the various features in the process. Among other things you'll find; the Regional Researchers' Groups at A660313 - there's also a Researchers' Map at A5076614, our newspaper <./>thepost</.>, the assortment of <./>smileys</.>, the Picture Library at C809(and actually an assortment of wallpapers for your computer at A1136242), the various topics in <./>askh2g2</.> and the Personal Space Workshop at A1123354.
Feisor doesn't refer to the Workshop specifically, but I thought it might be useful as a supplement to Spicing Up Your User Page.
But if you have any questions or anything feel free to leave me a message using the 'Reply' button, alright. I'll try to help or I'll find someone else who can help you. And a personal note, it sounds like we have fairly similar interests so click on my underlined nickname to find out a bit more about me. And drop by to discuss cooking or music or anything sometime. Bye for now!*waves*

So, wait. You like dark chocolate? That's awesome. Dark chocolate is awesome.
Sorry.
I think I like cooking specialties better than just cooking, but oh well.
Ok. Should I look up subjects so I don't make a redundant entry?
Thanks

Hi there! Well I do kind of cook specialties...just not really elaborate or extensive speciaties...things that are overly time consuming. Ah a fellow (dark)lover! (A424522)
Well, that's a good idea I suppose...looking things up to avoid redundancy. Although(just my )another perspective is always nice too - I mean it's possible to update an existing entry. I don't personally know all the specifics, but...

Thanks so much. You know, if I kept on making these posts that everyone had already written about I would think I would start getting plagerism accusations or something. Thanks again.
I completely agree. If something of no size takes two hours to make I'm not going to be the one making it (unless I don't have to share. But for a family thing, I don't think it would feed them all.)
By the way, I was not trying to imply a certain food on that example.
So, what kind of music are you into? The kind you listen to, the kind you play, the kind you study, what? Apologies if I'm being nosy.
(Dark) is definitely my favorite. And I'm not that much into chocolate either.

Hi sorry I missed that earlier as I was out most of the day. And I suppose time zones fit into the equation too.
Oh no not being too nosey...you needn't worry about that! I mostly listen to a reasonably wide variety of jazz, blues and rhythm & blues. I don't actually play an instrument. I can recall driving my brother 'round the bend(so to speak)trying to play guitar by ear. His response at the time was repeating the 'Smoke On The Water' chord progression - I suppose implying that I shoud learn some basics.
On the subject of - I had a nice raspberry jelly-filled dark this afternoon. I'll have to make a point of buying those more often...a good combination, raspberry and .

Lucky, lucky lucky. I hardly eat dark, so I suppose I wouldn't know. I like a wide variety of music to listen to, including blues and rhythym and blues. I don't care for rap or country. Those are my two pet peeves. With one exception each, being respectively Gorillaz(my 3rd favorite band) and Johnny Cash.
Anyway, it's ok. I haven't been on too much either. I think I'll go make some tea in a few minutes anywho. I made my first entry entry (that was purposefully double entry) and I completely changed it, for I fear that through all my research I hadn't completely gotten the name thing right. I think(hope to gosh) that it's ok now. Thank goodness.
Thank you for everything!

I have to agree - neither rap nor country are musical genres I'm likely to listen to. Johnny Cash is also an exception for me in the realm of country music. Although I admit that I have ...more tolerance, if that's the term for some of the older country(Hank Williams Sr., etc)as opposed to the newer country-rock or 'rock-ified country'. I think a few exceptions are a fairly normal thing when it comes to music. Certain artists seem to be able to cross musical boundaries or skillfully combine influences.
Your mention of prompts somewhat of a cooking-related reveation...in that it involves heat transforming an item. I'm now roasting my own beans at home, which is something I was initially hesitant about.

Well, at least I brought up . That was good. The only bad thing was that I actually forgot to make the . I'm very forgetful. Oh well, I'll make some this afternoon.
That's cool. I'm not a real person. I'll drink it occasionally, but not black. Oh, no, not black. I guess I just don't like the taste. I can drink black, well, if it's the right kind.
I agree with what you said about music. Johnny Cash crossed over alot from country to rock and pop. It really all depends on how you look at it.
Talk to you later.

I can be like that too at times - forgetful!
I didn't start drinking black until I started making better/fresher ...now there isn't usually any need for either cream or a sweetener. Though some of the members qualify more as fanatics than simply geeks, I must admit reading comments and/or advice on the http://www.coffeegeek.com forums has taught me quite a bit. In fact one of the members or s had written a blog entry on coffee appreciation...if you're interested in reading a bit. It's at http:///www.dinewilmingtononline.com/content/view/85/1. Aside from a bit of exaggeration here'n'there(understandably attributable to a zealot)it's reasonably accurate. I should clarify that I'm by no means quite that extreme/devoted/obsessed!
Yes look forward to our ongoing conversation! And I suppose more precisely, its 'ongoing-ness'.

Hey, I respect your love of entirely. I know alot of people who would drive a Hummer for a cup of (and pay gas prices). That's pretty bad. I think we could live without , and I also think we could live without , but one thing is for sure and certain: we could NOT live without . Trust me.
Today is my birthday. I'm so happy. There is something coming to me in the mail or something on the 25th. I'm looking forward to it. Probably something Green Day. Probably. Oh, well. I feel special, but not different.
See you.

Actually just having some ...No-o, wouldn't even want to think about a -less existance!! Life without would be like a beach without water! A day without like a day without sunshine!

I'm in the process of reading that article. It all sounds really good, but alas, I must further my expidition into the world of good coffee later, as I must leave.
See ya.

Sorry. I just got back. Yesterday I got a bar of solid dark, so I was pretty happy.
This is really off subject, but yesterday too we were driving, and we saw this horse-like animal on the road. It looked like it was being driven by a human, but as we neared it we saw that is was a rider-less donkey in the road. We pretty much scared it so it got off the road, but poor thing! Who knows where it came from.
Ok, that was my post for today. Bye!

Hmm, a donkey wandering on the road...probably managed to escape the pen/corral or whatever & decided to explore a bit.Don't worry about being off subject...I haven't set strict rules or guidelines for structure & content. Right, catch up with you soon.

What's up? Ya know, I'm going to make today. You might find this strange, but I make tea in the coffeemaker. That's just how I learned. My dad is an oddball, and when I was younger, he was 'experimenting' with tea. I find that it just doesn't taste right when you heat water up and put a teabag in it on the stove. Maybe it's just me.
How's the thing going? That article was really cool. I feel ashamed, though. I have never tasted real coffee. Pity, it is.
Talk to you later

Hi there! The thing is going fine. In the coffeemaker hmm? I've heard that can be done. If you're comfortable with it(& that's how you learned it)there's no real reason to change!
And I have to admit I haven't gotten into the real complexities of ...for now it's enough just having a bettter cup. I'll leave the rather florid descriptions to the connoisseurs. So some would probably say that I've never had 'real' either, just much better than average . *sigh*Pity yes but I can live with it.
Yes catch you later!
