I'd like to ask you a couple questions - of curiosity my friend if I may ?
Vestboy = June 1999 (interlude June 2003)
1stly - should it not now be "Vestman" ? now it's 2014

and 2ndly - how come the tag name Vestboy ?
my mind sort of conjurers a ex forces personnel (body armour)
a youth into various types of printed T-shirts ?
bloody hell! I can't think I'm actually saying this one ex choir boy - yah know - vestment and that sort of stuff associated with churches (I think?)

err! the mind bit etc, is a filler in of sorts, as I'm just baffled by the "Vestboy" tagline

Hi Prof, I was an early joiner for here and for a while, when there was some sort of change - maybe a new computer - I forgot my login and set up another account. Then the nice folk in the heavy print let me know what my original password was and I regained my old sign-up.

When I was a youngster I used to invent alternative superheroes and one of mine was Vestboy. In a crisis, just like Superman, he would run into a phone booth and strip off his shirt and trousers. Unlike Superman he didn't have a costume so he fought evil in his vest and underpants... not that much evil ever got into his vest and pants, you understand. His weapons were a vest string lasso and his trusty underpant elastic gun.

As I developed the character on here his unique ability became the power of scratch and sniffology whereby he could influence opponents by scratching the stains on his vest and releasing their Zeitgeist to the situation, e.g. someone who wants to attack him suddenly smells a full cooked breakfast and heads off the the nearest cafe to get fed instead of fighting. This led to him needing to build up a range of stains on the vest to be able to release the appropriate odour at the appropriate time. Unfortunately he doesn't always remember which stain is which and wrong odours can be introduced causing unexpected results. It also raised some eyebrows when he asks to rub his vest on things to gain a new stain.

There's so much out there to find out. Have you travelled much?

not really1 holiday Majorca and 1 in Los Angeles when single - total lack of from 1984 (when married/family)onwards

I've been lucky in travelling in recent years. I lived in Sydney from 2010 to 2012 and as part of the job got to travel to various parts of Oz and to Atlanta in the USA and in my most recent job they sent me to Slovenia and Munich. I got quite used to airline food when I was going back and forth to Sydney!

I've just heard, while typing this message to you, that I have been successful in getting a new job locally, which will mean very little travel, which I'm very pleased about.

It's all within the London Borough that I live in! Fantastic. Depending on where they put me I may be able to walk to work!

You may ask. It's called a Health Navigator and I'll be working with older people who struggle with the health service, not attending appointments, struggling to remember to take meds and also look into any other issues that they may have which affect their health, poor heating or diet etc. and then guide them towards the right support. It's only a one year contract, but it may help me get known again in the local area for future opportunities.

I wish you well my friend and also hope that you enjoy it as well. My philosophy (1 of many) is:- if you like a job, then it's not a job but a pleasure. but if you don't like the job, it's bloody hard going.

I've had several of both, so I know exactly what you mean. I tend not to stick in the hard slog ones, but for the other you can't always tell which one they will be until you give them a go.

from school - a joiner (but cut short-long story, my body went against me -I'll put a link ok)
