The Bus - Star of every Pop film.

It wouldn't surprise me if the last bit was true.
How come buses are in EVERY film by a pop star?
ie, Summer Holiday, Magical Mystery Tour, Spiceworld.

Well in fact the very last bit is true, the driver in question quit a year or so later to join the army, so yes he did leave the country eventually. But he certainly LOOKED liked he was caperble of selling children. Mind you in my books all children should be sold, or at least locked up till they're 18

Me too.
Blue, do you mean films about pop stars or films involving pop stars?
eg Labyrinth (David Bowie); Freejack (Mick Jagger). No buses.
Mind you, A League of their Own (Madonna) did have one

Well I'm packing my lunch box, filling my thermos, putting on my anorak and jumping on a bus right now to spend all next week in Durham bus spotting.

It was only because I nearly got run over by the 222 while crossing Gilesgate... okay well, not nearly run over, but it was there before I crossed the road nonetheless!

I don't believe you...they'd never do a thing like that...

I admit. I was just about to cross Gilesgate at 4:20 this afternoon, when the 222 (I think) passed on the other side of the road It didn't nearly run me over at all, and there was nothing coming behind it so I crossed when it was gone

Bus drivers ARE human, they must be becuase I was on a bus (Wilmslow road/Oxford road, Manchester)and actually had to wake the driver up as the bus drew near to the bus stop that I wanted to get off at. How Scarey is that? siting upstairs blissfully unaware (as was the driver)!!!

Bus drivers on Wilmslow road are bad news. I now live far enough out to take the train. Except the ones that recognise me, that is. And the ones who ignore traffic lights when I'm in a hurry. But really, would a human bus driver do this?

Eomando, As that bus went by I thought I you're bound to be on that bus, aren't you Honest, thats why I posted the time to check! So if you were looking out of the window on the right hand side of the bus just into Gilesgate...
Stuart, I've seen countless Abduls, I think they're trying to take over the world, but never having been one for chilli I've no idea how they make their sauce, sorry I don't even know anyone who works at one.

As coincidence would have it, I always sit on the RH side of the bus if I can......and I was today.
I don't know if I was looking out of the window or not at that time, and if I was I wasn't paying any attention...

Hmm... I've had experiences where the bus driver has gone through the whole journey without touching the wheel... fortunately it was just a straight road, and I was only on for a few stops, but the driver was fiddling with something the whole time...

Very. That's why I only stayed on a couple of stops....
When I was a kid, I always sat on the top front of double deckers, and they had that hole which you could look down to see what the driver was doing... I always liked that, and stared down it (it's a kind of periscope so that the driver could see what was behind him) One time I looked down it, and the driver looked up, and gave me the dirtiest look ever....
