Looking for Work

I'm looking for a new job. Preferably, outside of law enforcement right now.

Anyone have any ideas?

I am at a disadvantage seeing as I do not know anything about the private sector. I have usually worked in the public sector. I do not have a clue about what goes on inside all of those glass buildings downtown.

Rush

My entry on Rush, Arkansas [A787836] is on the front page. Not only that it, but it's an Editor's Selection, so it has a picture and everything.

Experimenting with Drugs

Yesterday, I went in to have a toenail removed.

A few months ago, I dropped a package on my toe. Everything was fine for a while. Then a crack developed, and part of the living toenail separated from the other. The toenail on the front was still there, but the new growing toenail started growing underneath of it. I went to Kaiser, and they took it off.

Since the local wore off, I’ve been hurting. The whole point of all this is to say that I’m totally unimpressed with Tylenol III with Codeine. It didn’t help. I’ve heard great things about the codeine and what an effective painkiller it is. I’m unconvinced. I didn’t even have any signs of narcotic analgesic use. My pupils weren’t constricted; there was no facial itching. Nothing. The pain wasn’t all that bad, but it was sort of annoying.

Yesterday I was board out of my mind. I spent most of the day laying on the couch watching movies and seeing which frozen foods helped with the swelling.

Done with College

I just e-mailed my last paper in to my professor. Yesterday, I had my last class. I will never again step on to a college campus as a student. I finally have my four-year degree.smiley - bubbly

What a relief!

Weedeating in the Backyard

My weed eater had issues. Once I ran out of string, I could never find just the right size. Then the spring fell out of the thing, so I had to pull the string out by hand. Effectively, I haven't edged my yard in a few years.

The problem is made worse because I have a shallow trench in my backyard. It eroded like that while they were building the homes next to us. I use it to get rid of all my yard clippings and such. It has become a little overgrown of late.

Recently, I bought a new weed eater, and I started work on the backyard today. I nearly finished when I uncovered a turtle living in the trench. I damn near screamed when I saw it. It surprised the heck out of me. Now I'm worried what else might be living back there.

It doesn’t help that I have moron for a neighbor who lives caddy corner to me. When he built his fence, he left part of his yard out of it, and it hasn't been cut in six or seven years. It's really overgrown, and I suspect it's now a wet land underneath he weeds.
