Experimenting with Drugs

Yesterday, I went in to have a toenail removed.
A few months ago, I dropped a package on my toe. Everything was fine for a while. Then a crack developed, and part of the living toenail separated from the other. The toenail on the front was still there, but the new growing toenail started growing underneath of it. I went to Kaiser, and they took it off.
Since the local wore off, I’ve been hurting. The whole point of all this is to say that I’m totally unimpressed with Tylenol III with Codeine. It didn’t help. I’ve heard great things about the codeine and what an effective painkiller it is. I’m unconvinced. I didn’t even have any signs of narcotic analgesic use. My pupils weren’t constricted; there was no facial itching. Nothing. The pain wasn’t all that bad, but it was sort of annoying.
Yesterday I was board out of my mind. I spent most of the day laying on the couch watching movies and seeing which frozen foods helped with the swelling.

Don't tell me the drugs didn't have any effect!
Hope the toe feels better. After two weeks I reckon it'd better!

It's fine now. It' just looks a little strange. It feels really odd when something brushes over where the toenail used to be.
That first day, I couldn't do anything else but watch movies because the if my foot wasn't elevated it hurt a lot more.

I did the same thing when I was a little kid a few days before X-mas.
Sitting around watching the family trim the tree without me was a holiday memory I cheirsh.
