Bad Hat, Bad Hat...

My wife returned from a trip to Australia yesterday with a DVD copy of The Olden Days and Bargearse in hand. Quite bizarrely, my VHS copy has disappeared - and I have no rational explanation for it. Did I lend it to someone and then suffer from a case of acute amnesia? Anyway - with the DVD available for research purposes, I should finally have the opportunity to get my 'The Old Days' - the TV Series articles finished and up for review/Editing. Yay!

New Moanier

Just for anyone who doesn't know and might care, I have had myself a bout of pneumonia. I have to rate it as 'Not Pleasant'. You feel run down and aching, with coughs, phlegm and a tendency to need to run to the loo more often than you might like. I have been feeling this way for about 2 months now... and I'm tired of being ill.

Headlines

Noticed this morning that the press have gone weather crazy, with front pages adorned with pictures of storms, tornadoes and rampant flooding. 'The Sun' has broken out one of the classic headlines - 'X of Terror', where X = 'Rain' in this instance (but could so easily be 'War', 'Ride', 'Cheese' or whatever seems to suit at the time). To buck the trend, and appeal to those who have looked out the window and realised the weather's a bit off, 'The Mirror' has offered up the world shattering headline that one of the Big Brother contestants (and a babe at that) is, in fact, bald. Shocking and informative.

Front and Centre

Apparently I'm on the front page... Um, it doesn't feel any different.

Overcooked?

Slogan from a packet of Seabrook Potato Crisps:

"Cooked in Pure Sunflower Oil for Over 25 years"

I know we have to be careful that we always cook things properly to minimise health risks, but isn't that a little excessive?
