WS! Thank you for the offer of a visit. SS isn't really a social animal; but he and Bluesue seem to get on really well; and he says if I would like it, then he is happy to call in for a cuppa. Will talk off-line nearer the time ok?

Hi to you both. Scorp, as much as i would like to join you both on your overnight stop the place i booked was so cheap,i don't think i could better it. £24 for a well rated room would be hard to beat, unless there is an entrepreneurial welshman willing to rent me his shed for a tenner
Work this weekend was hot and hard,we are full to capacity, worse still, the new bunch of residents are challenging to say the least. One in particular, racially abused my kitchen assistant, something i will not tolerate. I tore up the stairs to her room and said, "Firstly, madam,my KP is not black,he is a rather delightful tan colour, something i have been trying to achieve by sitting in a deckchair in the sun all summer, secondly,he is polite and caring. You, on the other hand, have a face that looks like it has caught fire and someone tried to put ou the flames with a hammer and on top of all that you are rude, predudiced and ignorant" So, i expect to be hauled up and told off or sacked but i couldn't care less
Next weekend,we have the summer fete,if i am still there,so i have to make loads of cakes for the cake stall, worse still, i have to stay on all afternoon and run a hot dog and barbeque stand
The forecast for next week looks fairly good,i really must try to get out somewhere,it is so crowded here,it is hard to find anywhere peaceful

Tell SS I am not a social animal either and if he gets on with Bluesue, there is a chance for me surely You can ask her if she thinks he could tolerate me for an hour or so
No pressure, it is up to you but it wouldn't be far out of your way, and I have a downstairs loo which is the first port of call for most visitors these days
Let me know nearer the time then.

Oh Sue, well done, I loved it, it is about time we all started speaking out more. Perhaps you will be lucky and the old curmudgeon will have forgotten it

Hi both. On Tuesday,i finally made it to Hengistbury Head with the grandsons. There was some doubt first thing in the morning as a body was found there and it was cordoned off. They often find bodies up there and they are usually suicides, as in this case.
We had a lovely day albeit exhausting. We went on the Noddy train,to the posh beach hut area, last week one sold for £180.000 Harry saw his first Cormorant and it let me get quite close for a picture
We then went on the short ferry trip to Mudeford. Harry was so excited when we went to the cafe, the Starlings are a real pest they fly down onto the tables and steal your cake,it did not help as Harry kept giving them the fruit out of his cake and we were mobbed! Ethan and Harry then went crabbing,Ethan caught a small crab and the look on Harry's face was a delight to see. I took a picture because it is a look i want to remember
We did the same trip back and Harry said " This is an amazing adventure!!" then promptly fell asleep in the car going home
Some pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sue980/
The day was not over yet I promised Ethan i would go and watch him play football in the evening. A friendly pre season match had been arranged with a team from Corfe Mullen. When we got there i was scared stiff for the lad. The side he was playing was the senior team and all the boys
looked like giants compared to Ethans team. What was worse, the game did not seem very " friendly" at all. Ethan was kicked and pushed all over the place as were his team mates. They lost 3-1 which was amazing because when i saw the opposition,i thought the score would be 100-0
I went to work today and as i thought,i was hauled up to the office. The boss said she had heard that i was very rude to Lillian. I replied, there was no way i was going to apologise, she gave me one of her serious stares, then, started laughing. she said no need to apologise, she had wanted to to have a go herself but i had beaten her to it

Websailor Posted Aug 20, 2013
Oh, that's a shame Scorp, I was hoping you might pop in. Oh well, hospital appointments come first, they are a rare thing down here, at least when you want them.
Hope all goes well with him. Can't you try for a refund since it is a hospital appointment?

Since the tickets were free in the first place, I don't think we have much chance of a refund WS! Good idea though

Oh,that's a shame Scorp. As you say,SS's health comes first.
Number 2 son paid a flying visit over the weekend and it was the first time i have seen his son in the flesh.I have seen photos, but nothing is quite so lovely as holding them for the first time, although,he was swiftly passed back when he started to cry!http://www.flickr.com/photos/sue980/
I have had an Hibiscus plant for over five years and it has never flowered but this year it has gone mad,it is very pretty. I have it outside the kitchen window so i can look at it when i am doing the washing up,anything to take my mind off boring tasks.
The apple tree in Sarah's garden is groaning under the weight of bright red apples and although they are eaters,we went blackberrying on the heath and made crumble.Harry helped out by pointing out every single blackberry he spotted, " There's one, there's another one, nanny you missed that one" etc. etc. Still HE enjoyed it
Work tomorrow I am wishing away the days until the holiday.

Websailor Posted Aug 21, 2013
I love blackberrying but my back doesn't any more. Before new fencing I had a mass in my garden which the badgers etc. loved, but none now. Harry reminded me of how you walk one way and pick, then walk back because you have always missed some!

*Waves to both* I got really angry in the Spring 'cos I had brambles growing all through my front hawthorn hedge. I am so pleased they did now because I have a real glut of blackberries ripening nicely. Also, I can take out my little step-stool and sit down to pick them.

I am not in the best of moods just now what with the bank holiday weekend clogging up the town and many of the grockles staying on because of the Air Show starting on Thursday until Sunday, you just can't move anywhere.I am sick to death of it all. It is pointless driving off to the tranquility of the countryside as it would take me hours to get back home again and anyway,as it is now open season for killing badgers,i would probably end up mowing the cullers down and ending up in jail. It is just as well that i am a prisoner in my own garden.
I have just poured myself a large glass of Chardonnay and i am off to stare at my tomatoes, they are being defiant at the moment and remaining green, the plan is,i will talk dirty to them and maybe they will blush

Websailor Posted Aug 27, 2013
Glad yu can still raise a smile Sue, even if things are so horrible. They will all be gone in a a couple of weeks surely?
The badger cull is making me want to spit feathers, and now it seems our precious Govt. is about to make another appalling decision totally opposed to what most of us think, in fact it is just adding to a long list.
Enjoy your wine, and I am quite sure you know precisely how to make your tomatoes blush Scorp and I will cover our ears

Hi both, thank goodness that is all over,if you saw the paper we both read WS,you may have some idea what it has been like here, there was a picture of Bournemouth beach and all i can say is
Although Harry is obsessed with planes and anything else in the sky,he detests too much noise, unless he is making it We decided to watch the airshow from the cliffs at Southbourne which is a couple of miles away from the action. We had vip tickets to a lovely restaurant on the cliffs. This gave us a welcome drink and a lovely lunch, another drink, hic, then a cream tea with
It was not much good for me photo wise but i managed a few.

As everyone has gone home now,all one and a quarter million grockles,i plan to go off to the New Forest tomorrow as i have forgotton what it looks like
I hope this finds you both well and enjoying this last burdt of summer we are having.

Sue I saw the photo in the paper and was horrified! I was just about to comment on it too.I just do not understand why people are prepared to herd together like cattle, in the heat. I can quite understand why you hate it.
I expect the traders say it is essential to the local economy but it must be a nightmare for locals.
I hope things calm down soon as the kids will be back at school soon and you should only have the s to cope with. I must admit September is my favourite time for a holiday though it is a long while to wait.
Hope you are ok.

SS was only commenting on how you would react to the grockles Bluesue! He knew that you would 'really' like having them there He also said that no matter how many million there were, it would not stop himself getting to the pub.
You managed to get some cracking shots of the air show. I particularly liked the Lanc.
Not long to go now girls before some of us are taking Welsh piccies. We have now got our seed potatoes in for Christmas and fingers crossed the frost doesn't get to them before we do.

bluesue Posted Sep 3, 2013
Hi both, Ws. the traders loved the influx of grockles, there wasn't a bed left in the town to be had and some resorted to sleeping on the beach and gardens.
Scorp,i am sure SS. would have made it to the pub, although, if he was thirsty,he would have died of it and probably still be waiting for a pint as i type This was the reason we bought those tickets,at least we got served in our posh VIP tent AND by a hunky waiter
I went for my stroll in the forest, but in a moment i forgot to put the battery back in the camera after charging it
still,i enjoyed myself and picked loads of blackberries. There was a reciepe in the weekend magazine for blackberry gin.It is made almost as you would make sloe gin,so i will give it a whirl
It should stand for at least a month,so,with any luck,i will bring some to Wales and we can see if it is any good or not.
I am going off again tomorrow, and yes, i have now put the battery back in the camera
