WS. it was awful about the Monarch, they say it was trophy hunters. I would like THEIR heads stuffed and mounted on my wall.
I am glad you went on the protest march WS. DEFRA have still not given a thumbs down to a Badger cull here in Dorset even though Dorset Wildlife Trust are in the middle of a vaccination programme,so, there will be a bit of serious protesting going on down here soon and i will be in the thick of it.Watch this space,if it does kick off,all future correspondence to me will be via HMP Holloway

If you get a whiff of a protest march or anything when we are down 6th June to 20th let me know.
I was so sad to rd about the Monarch. i don't think you could stomach the sight of their heads on your wall - handy dart board though
Time is flying, i can't believe we are at the end of March already, I just hope we don't get any wintry stuff as I want to turn my heating off!
Take care,

WS.RE. the Badger Cull. There will be no protest march here in Dorset because we got the news that the cull is not going to happen here
Last week i managed to get out for a day or two. I went to Throop Mill where the swans were attacked by some nutter with a crossbow. I was delighted to see a nest again,i do hope they are not attacked again. The Chiffchaffs arrived by the dozen into my garden, this cheers me up immensely. I also took a walk to Hengistbury Head. I had great fun watching some Stonechats, there was an eager but rather scruffy male,a very flirty female and a rather handsome male. After lots of posturing and flirting, the handsome, more colourful male won the day.
After last weeks pollution,my car and everything else, was covered in heaps of pink sand from the Sahara,it is wonderful to get out and breath some fresh air. Pictures of all the birds here

Glad you got out and about. The pollution has been affecting people here a lot, and cars and my coal bunkers were covered with sand.
Babysitting went very well, but I am worried I am too good at it so I had to make the point that it can only be occasional as it is very tiring. Granddaughter is a bundle of wilful energy but so far we have got on
Not sure that thing about the cull in Dorset being cancelled. It is for this year but they are still planning a roll out apparently Just hope the protests sink in eventually.

Hi WS. I did get your email and link, but my pc was misbehaving and i have only just got it fixed. I started to type this half an hour ago,and we had a power cut, everything is getting on my nerves at present. I am sorry you won't be down for the Badger event,i can't go either,i am working, speaking of work,i just havn't stopped for weeks. The other has had to have her appendix out and won't be back to work until next week. By the time i have finished work and come home,i am fit for nothing, that is why i havn't been about much.
I did get a nice surprise for my birthday,my daughter arranged for me to be off work for a couple of days and we went to the Eden Project.I really enjoyed it there,i went some years ago and the change is remarkable,so much to see and do. Young Ethan came too,we had to drag him away in the end,i think he wants to move in permanently
It won't be long before your holiday,i am going to take a couple of days away myself and stay down your end of the county, that way,we can have a bit longer together. I will sort that all out with you soon.

Oh that's lovely, will discuss later. Glad you had a nice birthday.
My other son went to the Eden Project a few years ago and loved it. W keep meaning too but don't seem to have time. Maybe one day.
The only good thing about working nonstop is you don't get a chance to dwell on things that might otherwise bug you. I prefer to be busy as 'thinking' isn't always a good idea.
Take care, speak soon,
