Stand for a month Will you be able to wait that long
Glad I am not the only one who has moments, far too many of them at the moment, my head is in a whirl. I do wish my friends didn't keep moving and changing their telephone numbers, it is most frustrating.

It had better stand for a month WS, or the lady in question is going to be in really deep
Sue! I clearly remember someone (who shall remain nameless) travelling all the way to Dorset, only to discover that she had left her camera battery on charge in Derbyshire It happens to the best of us dear!
WS! I changed my phone last week; and it took three days for them to transfer my number; it was a bl**dy nightmare.

Ooh, fighting talk
I have pencilled in all names, addresses and phone numbers for years now to save wasting paper
Glad you are sorted now Scorp.
Just spent two days with granddaughter, very exhausting but satisfying.

Hi girls
WS. the blackberry gin needs to stand for a month to impart a bit of flavour, although after smelling it,i think i will be lucky to be able to stand for any length of time at all if i drink it I am off to get some more blackberries tomorrow, make some more gin for Christmas, also freeze a few for pies.
It was my daughters birthday today. I bought her a pair of aubergine coloured Hunter Wellies. She would not normally be seen dead in wellies, but, living on Canford Heath and walking the dog, also having to attend Ethans football training and matches, wellies are essential. She is over the moon with them,my wallet is not over the moon,it is on the sideboard....EMPTY!
Scorp,i remember the battery incident when you came to visit because of this,i have decided to buy a spare battery and keep it in the camera bag,so if i go all
again i should be covered. I have been looking at the new Canon 700 and thinking of upgrading, but,i shall wait a while until the price drops a bit as it invariably does after the initial hype dies down.
It won't be long now before the holiday. My daughter warned me about the sat.nav. When she had to go to Wales on a course for work, her sat.nav sent her half way round the world so as to avoid the toll bridge I think i will just turn it off and follow my nose.

Websailor Posted Sep 9, 2013
Did you see the SatNav letter in the paper at the end of the letters? It was funny. Take a look if you think about it.
I haven't been out to look for blackberries, and we have had some heavy spells of rain today so it will be messy If the weather improves I might take a look. Was given some cooking apples last week so they would be a nice addition.
Glad she like the wellies even if your wallet is a bit light. They will protect against ticks too if she walks on the heath.
I see you have a political bunch down there at the moment - I think I would rather have the grockles
Take care (*waves* to Scorp)

bluesue Posted Sep 13, 2013
Hi both. Yes the political grockles have been here all week talking rubbish all day and getting smashed all night
The flat stinks of an interesting aroma,a sort of mixture of tomato chutney, gin and jam interspersed with fag smoke and whiskey
I am now the proud owner of a tablet, not the prozac i should be taking, but the sort i can play on the internet with.It is very good, easy to use and very handy for when i am out and about.
The next couple of weeks are going to be very difficult for me,the other is going to Australia on Wednesday, the Weekday KP. has broken his ankle and i am fed up. This does not bode well. I also have to attend a course on Tuesday, believe it or not,the course is about 'Challenging Behaviour' I told the boss i am a master at challenging behaviour, but, he is still making me do it
I will still try to keep up with things here, although i think i will be a bit cream crackered,
Now 67 and feeling it!
Websailor Posted Sep 13, 2013
I think you should use your challenging behaviour to challenge the boss to find you some help while the other two are off, it is too much for one person, and I bet you don't get paid any more for coping on your own
Glad you are enjoying your technology. The pollies sound a waste of space whichis no surprise. They get worse.

After a hectic weekend at work, today, i had the unexpected task of looking after Harry, his usual sitter was indisposed. After looking after him for most of the day,I AM indisposed, Tomorrow's course on challenging behaivour should be a doddle after what i have been through today. He was inconsolable when he realised his mother had sneaked out,i was not allowed to say she had gone to work, apparently this makes him worse, although any worse i can't imagine,i had to tell him she had gone to get the car fixed, this is ok as the car is very important to him
He flatly refused to get dressed until i said i was going to walk on the heath without him.We had a slight disagreement about suitable apparel,in my opinion,a pair of swimming trunks and wellingtons was not quite enough clothing,so,Harry said he would bring an umbrella as well
I finally got him to dress properly,by then it was persisting down and there was a howling gale,he still insisted we go because i had promised. When we got back,we were both wet and cold, but he would not take his wet things off, because,as he put it," Its taken me half of my life to put them on" I told him if he did not change his clothes,he would catch pneumonia and die before Thomas the Tank Engine came on the TV,that did the trick! The rest of the time before Sarah came back was just as chaotic, she returned home to find the lounge knee deep in paper aeroplanes the twenty or so that i made was not enough for a major disaster and he was looking to call out international rescue! He told Sarah he had had a brilliant time and we were going to do it again very soon(in your dreams sunshine)

Oh, Sue, you are wonderful, not wonder he had such a lovely time! Getting round his foibles takes a genius by the sound of it. I thought my granddaughter was a handful but you are a
Hope you can have a rest till the course. Maybe you will end up teaching it to the others

I have had a very trying week, apart from the other being in Australia, and the KP with broken ankle, now my weekend KP has given in his notice. He is leaving because he has left college and got a job more suited to his talents,ie sitting on his bum staring at a computer screen all day, for the amount of work he actually did,i probably won't even notice he isn't there
After work tomorrow,i am going straight to my daughters as it is Harrys birthday. We have hired a bouncy castle and a clown. The clown will probably scare him to death, and the bouncy castle will, after half a ton of jelly, make him sick. i am taking the camera, although, pictures of vomit and terror are not what i am looking for
I am working all these extra shifts right up until i go away on holiday. By the time i get there,i will probably fall asleep most of the time, but i expect Scorp and SS will cheer me up and stick a boot up my backside to get me going

The birthday party went very well. On my advice,Sarah decided not to get the clown. I can remember when i was a child,i hated clowns, they looked too freaky and scary. With Harry's condition,it was a wise move as we had no idea how he would react. The bouncy castle was a massive hit,not only for the children but also the so called adults

I have a day off tomorrow,i say off,i will be catching up on all things dreary, laundry housework etc. My next day off will be Friday and unless it is persisting down i intend to go to Arne. The rut should be in full swing and i always enjoy the grunting, fighting, and general madness that descends on the place, that is just me,the deer make a racket as well
Now 67 and feeling it!
Websailor Posted Sep 22, 2013
Wise move about the clown. There was a bit in the paper about a man jumping out on people in the street and giving them a fright. Not sure where but my head says Northampton, but ignore that as my head has a mind of its own over which I have no control!!
Enjoy the grunting and fighting, just be careful what you photograph

Hi both After a tiring couple of days,i summoned up the energy to go to Arne. To be honest,i just wanted to curl up in bed,but i forced myself to get up and go. I was pleased to see the deer i call the 'Daddy' was still going strong,he must be getting on a bit as i have been watching him for years. I was a bit miffed that the gate which allowed you to get in amongst the main herd in the field had been removed and replaced with barbed wire
Not to be detered,i crawled underneath it,another ripped coat
I got some fairly nice pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/sue980/
I was just begining to enjoy the peace and quiet of the place when loads of people turned up They were on an organised fungi forage. They were chattering away so the deer got as fed up as i was and cleared off! I cleared off as well. I went to our favourite pub,WS and had a pleasant lunch,it was nice to have a meal cooked for me for a change.
Work all weekend <puff)

Barbed wire!! You do like to take chances don't you I would have gone off too, I hate people in those circumstances, in fact I am not enamoured of them in numbers anyway
Glad you went to 'our' pub, it is lovely.
Will go and look at your photos to cheer me up. I found out today that I lost a good friend yesterday, but thankfully I had visited her recently. I hadn't realised we were going to lose her this quickly, as she was about to move in to a sheltered complex.

Hi both!
Time I stuck my oar in I suppose. It's four thirty a.m. and I can't sleep. Those pics were lovely Sue; takes me back to when we saw the old fellow lying right in our path; too kna**ered to move - him that is, not us. Have you packed yet?
Am going downstairs to make a cup of something or other.

Hi girls, WS. sorry you lost one of your close friends,it happens all too often as we get older
I was having a coffee in the precinct today and a friend of mine joined me. He had just returned from a funeral. We started talking about all the mates we had lost recently, when he said," There won't be anyone left to come to our funeral, they have all died before us, SELFISH BAST**DS!!"
Scorp, unlike yourself,i have no trouble sleeping,i am worn out with all this extra work, still,it won't be long now before the holiday As for packing,i havn't a clue what to pack. At this time of year the weather can be tricky. My wellies and wet weather gear are always in the boot,so it will be a couple of wollies, jeans, underwear etc. i am trying to force myself not to bring too much stuff.I really want to take the trip to Caldey Island, but if the weather is anything like today, a sou'wester would be needed.
Work for the next three days, friday, off, work Saturday and Sunday,Monday off, work for three more days, then, i am off for two whole weeks,

Websailor Posted Sep 30, 2013
Scorp, I have the occasional bad night when I sleep for a few hours, wake about 3/4am and can't get back to sleep, usually because my brain won't shut up!
I have found Horlicks made with milk, a cup of Camomile tea (if you can stomach the taste an hour before bed, and apparently a lettuce sandwich does wonders. If all else fails I pick up my book till I drop it
Sue, the photos were gorgeous, I do miss Dorset. Spent today with my son and we went out to lunch and rather pigged out He has gone home now so I am going to put my feet up. Monday isn't the ideal day for visitors and I belted round and got stuff done before he arrived so I am CCd now.
Hope the weather behaves for your holiday you two. Sue I am sure you could travel light like I do ............. I cut down by about half this year and it was still too much stuff. The bungalow provides absolutely every mortal thing you could want so it is just clothes and footware. Ridiculous!

Lordy,i am tired. It has been so hard to keep up with everything.I am running out of ideas as to what to cook next.I normally only have to think of a menu for three days,at the moment it is seven!
I have a day off tomorrow and apart from seeing my daughter,i am going to buy a sleeping bag. Scorp. i know SS would reply that he had already got one,he already told me he had a 'bag for life' Seriously,i think it would be better than lugging all that bedding about as i did last time. I am not going to bring the blackberry gin,i had a small sip of it yesterday and to be honest,it tastes like cough mixture
i think it needs longer for the full blackberry taste to develop. I also tasted a tot of the cherry brandy i made earlier in the year and that is lovely
perfect after a chilly day out,it will warm the cockles
One more week of drudgery and i am free,i finish work a week today. That gives me enough time to unwind and pack before i leave on the Sunday.
My sister warned me about a place near Haverfordwest, she went there a couple of years ago and had to be rescued from a beach close by. She did not see a notice warning her of quicksand Idiocy seems to run in the family
