Reports pf banishment form the Royal lineage for marrying what's her name were made in some celeb magazines. Then some other mags said that Her Majesty wanted her grandchildren to be happy, and would be very reasonable, especially since Prince Harry seems to be in love. And anyway, Winston Churchill had an American mother, and look how he turned out. For centuries, Royals married foreigners -- French, Spanish, Greek, Danish, Russian, German, etc. Why should being an American matter?

True. Our crown prince married a commoner from Tasmania. His younger brother married a Chinese business woman from Hong Kong. When that didn't last he married a French commoner.

The Norwegian crown prince even married a divorcee with a child.

The Swedish crown princess also married a commoner. As did both of her younger siblings - if I remember correctly. I don't follow all the news about these welfare families because quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn as long as they attract more tourist money than they cost us smiley - biggrin

And all the above Scandinavian royals are descended from Josephine, Napoleon's consort. And most are also related to the British royals.

We're all descended from the same people, when you get right down to it.

Marc Antony produced lineages in both the Roman World and, through Cleopatra, the Arab world as well. Some lines were still going strong 500 years later....

Baron Grim

Here's to Eve,
The Mother of all Races.
She wore fig leaves
In all the right places.

Here's to Adam,
The Father of us all,
He was Johnny on the spot
When the leaves began to fall.

Its the tardigrades left behind by former occupants of the seat I most dread, the little arthropod-like annelid fellow travelers of virtually all higher living things....

Mitey Earth!

Planet of the tardigrades.
