The heat and humidity gives me headaches, makes my joints ache (sharp stabbing pains), cannot keep cool as my interior body temperature is broken. It can get so bad my hands swell and I am unable to sleep at night due to the pain and heat. Has anyone got any tips in coping with the humid heat.

I'ed myself, get nakkid in the shower, which would be set on cool not cold and then drink a load of cider and gin, after a while when then giggling sets in, you find you don't care
One hopes this is useful

I used to get relief by reading horror stories.
Nowadays I seek out the shadiest spot near the river, and hope there will be cool breezes.
Another trick is to water the flowers. if I spill some cool water on myself, it's not entirely an accident .

It's a hot day. There might be traffic jams -- people heading to the beach.

There's hardly anyone on the beach, quite empty even though it's half term here, the weather's a classic all four seasons in one day, roast chicken salad for lunch, and then a nap! I have also retrieved some nice drift wood off the beach which is going to end up as garden furniture when we get home!

We were supposed to get pounded by heavy rain today, but the rains went south of us for the most part. We got a quarter of an inch at most.

There were some spotty showers all around us today. I was hoping to ride my bike about 5 miles up the road into the next town to see an old friend's new band play their second gig. Sure enough, right as I'm about to head out a storm cloud formed right over me.
But that's OK, the storms have been skirting us all week and we still need more rain.

Dry as dust and my neighbor across the street dragging his sandlot with a roll of chain link fencing material dragged behind a utility tricycle, kicking up enormous amounts of dust.

Right ho here goes, I just have arrived back at the tent with some more driftwood (it's really good stuff and i have been stacking it up as so I can take it home) when the fart of a bloke in the tent next door starts farting around, being a complete PR**K! I asked him to stop flinging the wood around as i'm going to be packing it up in my van later on today. He does not, the flinging of the wood carrys on with a visiousness which i can on say is demented, once again i ask him to stop, nuff'in as he is in full fling!
His missus arrives and she tried to get him to stop and again nuff'ing so when the bloke who owns the campsite arrived and askes him to stop we expected him to stop........ nuffing! so when hes used up all of hes flinging energy and stopped by himself, we just gather up the wood again and stack in the back of my van. He's looking shocked and with no words he moves toward my van, I think he thinks hes going to start flinging the wood out, but as is the way of things putting them selfs right in the end, his foot slipped on the damp wheel tyre and he slippes bashing his shin big time (we all sniggered which dos'ent help) he hobbled off to his tent, and a little later (after a cuppa with my missus) his missus.
the moral is "Don't fart with my wood"

It never ceases to amaze me, just how other people can be.......... so on that note i've packed up the wood (which is going to be made into garden furniture when we get home) and were back to having a rest outside our tent with a nice beer and some late lunch

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?
