Hello, folks.
I've been negligent on keeping contact with my good friends here. That's going to change.
I hope you are all well, and are keeping sane in whatever type of lockdown or safer at home orders you live under today, and that you keep sane for however long it takes before we all become "normal" again.

I have been in contact with family during this crisis, and am glad of that. My sister/stepmother are at least reasonably well. My sister spends her extra time fashioning face masks for her community

She and I both despair over our lack of national leadership, while thanking our "lucky" that our Governor has been doing a great job so far.

Glad to hear that your governor is doing a good job. I think I knew that already.

I'm getting tired of hearing about the virus morning, noon, and night.
Nobody *wants* the virus. What sense does it make to constantly hear about something you don't want?

Our lives used to be rich and varied. We weren't all interested i the same stuff, but as long as most of us found something we enjoyed, we could be indulgent toward those whose enthusiasms puzzled us. Now we hv to give up things we enjoy, we no chance to argue for their worth. And what are we given in their place A virus that nobody wants!

I too, despair over the lack of coverage of other events, the normal good and bad things that despite Co-Vid19, actually still exist. We all know about them, if only by instinct or some form of genetic memory, but they have been ignored by our press and other current institutions.


When might they be spoken of again??

There will be growing pressure to reestablish normality.

Yes, Paul. We're seeing that daily from coast to coast. Hopefully the drive to do do so doesn't fuel responses that are eventually harmful to the in general, and the United States specifically.
Yesterday was the heaviest death toll for California from COVID19. We might be hitting peak, but who can be sure??


In my section of Los Angeles it seems that there's a jump in cases. Hopefully it's not a start of a wave here. That could be quite nasty. There are 2 major convalescent homes in the area and countless people with conditions like obesity and diabetes,etc.

I hope that cases don't coallesce in convalescent homes.

Unfortunately, that's just what's happened in Los Angeles County.
