I am INCREDIABLY tired all the time. I also fel unclean all the time Four hours after having a shower I feel a mad urge to go and have another one. However I'm keeping that in check otherwise my hair and skin will get unhappy.
I've finally been told what books I'm studying:
Wise Children - Angela Carter
Tis Pity She's A Whore - John Ford
High Windows - Philip Larkin
King Lear or Much Ado About Nothing - Shakespeare
I still don't really know anyone, except for S, who is in my English class but her favourite book is Ant&Dec's Biography, J who is in my maths class and is very sweet, and Sam, who is in my geography class and seems to just be mocking me all the time
I can't believe I've got two years of this. I've done less than a week and feel like a dishcloth!

Kat, you know all about this. Your brain is making your internal feelings appear to be concrete and external, as it has a tendency to do. There's nothing wrong with having feelings about starting a big new project like a new school. It's the dishcloth bit that needs stamping under foot because it isn't real and it isn't helpful.

Also, dear Kat, the dishcloth feeling is because everything is NEW, it won't stay new for two years, believe me!

Oh, I do hope you'll do Much Ado; that's one of my favourite Shakespeares!
Hang in there - I'm sure you'll be fine.

*Looks shifty*
Yeah I know I know all about this, it just never ceases to shock me. I always think that maybe this time will be different and I won't turn into a human hedgehog ah well.
Today...today I have that mysterious lesson called PSE -- Personal Social Education. Part of me is wondering what a lesson for 16 year old GCSE grads is going to have for me, but I'm at least going to go to this first one to find out what's going on etc. Not going in with preconceived ideas and all that...yyyyeah right!
I've also got English, stats, and pure maths. So I'll be trotting home to write up two hours of work
In other news, a has been roaming in our garden! It left poo right near the patio! Our has done...nothing. Then, to add insult to injury, I came into the kitchen yesterday to find looking a bit sheepish. Turned out a bird had poo-ed on her back! What is happening to her?? Is the entire neighbourhood mocking her!?

Ah, being sh*t upon from a great height. That currently sounds familiar .
Kat, we're nipping this in the bud at the dishcloth stage. It isn't going to get as far as hedgehogs. We won't let it.
Be strong and keep a low, low profile in PSE.

Spoke too soon
I've just reported myself as absent from school due to being "ill".
This is, in reality, due to going to make an appointment to see a nurse this morning and bursting into tears on the way there and then almost jumping into a bush when a group of people walked past me. I personally feel this is a poor start to the day and trotted back home and called dad to check it was okay, called the school, and am now wrapped up in 6 layers and a duvet.
Part of me is saying that, as it's the start of term and we aren't doing anything "proper" and I'm not missing maths, that it's okay. Part of me is worried that this will become a pattern.
Anyone fancy heated up hedgehog?

You're OK... but you do have control over your actions, don't let anything or anyone fool you into believing you don't. It doesn't have to be a habit if you don't want it to be.

Terrific!
I'm sure you're really doing better than you think you are.
I mean that to sound very positive, by the way. Be optimistic!

A completely non-suspicious looking card was posted to you this morning, Kat.
Just pointing that out, because the original selection would have looked quite suspicious from the envelope, and I envisioned it taking ages to make it through postal security systems at both ends.

*pulls on radiation suit and prepares to scan any incoming mail*
You mean the original had lumps and bumps?
I forgot to say, I've also been given a GCSE English student to mentor. An hour a week, in which I have to go into her English class and chat with her about her work, help her with things she doesn't understand, help her set out essays in the correct way, that sort of thing. That makes up my hour a week's compulsory volunteering work, however I'm still working in the charity shop all day Saturdays.
Piano lesson tonight and I haven't really done much practice. Well actually I have, but I haven't been able to concentrate on any one thing, so I can play you about 5 pieces by Chopin...just very badly
Today! Is job interview day! I REEEEAAALLLYYY want this job as it is a ten minute walk from my house, I have a two and a half hour gap between finishing school and starting work, and I can get extra work for teh Christmas holidays. I've got another interview lined up for Friday but that's just over the holidays and is in Coventry, so I don't really want that one. I'll let you know how it went, although whenever I think it went well I never actually get the job
Anyway, I'm supposed to be vacuuming for this evening...
