Kat,
sorry for being sporadic about replying to your journal! I'm not neglecting you on purpose!
It's so nice to see that you're fighting your way through bureaucracy so well! I know, the whole fuss at the beginning can be quite disheartening, I'm sure it's getting better soon.
Beware of the chavs though! They seem to be everywhere nowadays!
Can I see your ID photo? I'm sure it's lovely!
Good luck for your hospital appointments! Hope your leg is behaving itself and that everything's fine tomorrow.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

You did fine, Kat.
And just look at it this way: if you can deal with 16-year-old girls, you can deal with absolutely anyone else on the planet.

Hi Skankyrich the preview button gives you a second chance to change your post in any way.
You can also change your mind and return to convo without saying anything.
I apologize if this has been answered. I cannot seem to get my pages to auto update. Something 2 days ago can say 1 hour ago

I agree with echomikeromeo
"if you can deal with 16-year-old girls, you can deal with absolutely anyone else on the planet."
Plus luckily, they can be delightful when they hit that particular mood during the quick series of moods they have!

Second day at school today. A *proper* day...
In honour of today I've uploaded four albums from The Smiths to my ipod. I also get a lift today! Whoop!
I went to the hospital yesterday and they definitely feel that my bone is knitting together now! I have to go and see them again at Christmas and if it keeps knitting then eventually they'll take the rod out. If not then they'll poke it again.
In other news, the girlfriend is currently very cross with me because asked her not to mention that she's going out with me to anyone in the village. In my mind this is reasonable. I'm out to all our family, friends etc, but not to anyone in the village. This is partly due to the high number of chavs, and partly due to the fact I don't know anyone here. I feel that seeing as I'm already starting school with a bit of a disadvantage: being 18, having a leg that guys think is cool and makes girls sick, wearing sweaters in warm weather etc etc, that letting everyone know that I'm gay would just complicate things further.
She feels that there's nothing shameful in going out with me but there is something shameful in being ashamed of it. I don't feel ashamed, I just feel that there's no need to draw attention to myself, especially as the first question I always get asked when I say I went to a girls' boarding school is "how many lesbians were there?"

I think you're right to be cautious. If this was a fair world you wouldn't have to be careful but as it is...
I can also understand your girlfriend's impatience but this is no time to try to change society. Remember the Way of the Ant: just do the job in front of you, which at the moment is to make a good start at a new school.

Well it turns out that I missed Maths first period this morning, due to the deputy head thinking that just because I was taking Maths Stats meant I only attended lessons marked as "St" on the timetable
I then had English and that went fine as I think I turned out to be the most well-read person in the room...which just made me look geeky.
Then I had 3 hours free and then Stats which went completely over my head and there will soon be a thread, either on Mikey or Amy's PS called "KAT's Maths" where I shall badger them to help me
