There were cycling lanes for most of the way, but you have to be careful at crossings.

smiley - yikes 11k? That's about what my first bike weighed! smiley - laugh

Just wish I had the courage to ride one. My favourite hobby. Used to cycle everywhere. smiley - zen

I'm thinking of getting one of those fold-up bikes:

They are made here in Brentford. Bit smiley - 2cents, Around £500, but if it gives me exercise, then worth it.

You stay at it, Bel. I admire you! smiley - ok

Best of luck with the cycling. I'd like a good quality, adult tricycle. My legs are so short that I've always had problems with a regular bicycle. And now with my arthritis, I'd be safer on a trike.

Well, I'm all for balance, so today I worked out my arms and shoulders.*
Tomorrow, it will be my back.**

Not sure what I'm going to do on Wednesday.

*Read: I cleaned the kitchen, scrubbed tiles and cupboards all afternoon

**Read: I'm going to do a lot of vacuuming.

What's been bothering me all this while is the thought that you can take a bike on a smiley - bus. We can't do that round these parts.

Oh, I had a lot of help from my son #2. I wouldn't have managed without his help.

Great story, though, TC. Shame I never tried that when the boys were still small. :D
