Van, I've spent the day drinking and putting my feet up.
OK, I've done some tidying and cleaning, too. Plus I went to do some shopping this morning. The car's tyre is flat, so I had to walk.
Gnomon, I think you'll find this phenomenon with other food, too.

Thank you all, I feel so much better now about all the things I have to do, or haven't done

It *is* always in the last place you look...
Unless you keep looking for it after you've found it...

Whenever my remote goes missing, I always find it under the cat.

I still haven't found the original cards which is somewhat surprising. The last time I ordered a new card (for my health insurance), I found the original card the moment I finished the call.

That's a bit like Cheeky - she'd lost the charger for her Nintendo for about 2 months. She kept having to use Kitty's, which annoyed her, s oeventually I went on Ebay and bought a replacement.
Without a word of a lie, five minutes later she found the original!
Poor girl, she came in pleased as punch telling us she'd found it, and wondered why we weren't happy!

Maybe I am getting old but not only can I not remember where I put anything - I can't remember what it is that I cant remember where I put.
Oh - maybe it was my marbles.

Chez Moi is 'Burger Hall' as far as excessmas is concerned so far... I haven't bought a present 'cos I've been working every day until 21.00... and what I'll eat is in the hands of the Mum, as she selects it, then we cook it in my flat, and I last did decorations in 1970... .
Those whose addresses I have will get cards ( 1 to date), those who I have e-mail addresses for ( 16 to date ) will get e-cards... The rest had better e-mail their addresses or they'll be getting Fanny Adams.
However, while I am online, briefly, I want to wish all of you a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year...
BTW... I am not anti Excessmas, I just prefer New Year, and the hope of something different... or even better!
to introduce a into the thread!

Sorry, not ignoring anyone, just been busy.
I've decided that instead of spending lots of money on stamps, I'll donate it to azahar.

Bel, Reading her blog makes you think. We all whinge about things, especially at this time of year but that is quite humbling.
