Good morning and happy new year, everyone!

Not even I stayed up late enough to ring in the new year in Chicago. I got sleepy and went to bed a little before 11:00. smiley - laugh

Happy New Year to everyone

(we celebrated in our usual way: cheese fondue, chocolate fondue and Gruesome #1's birthday cake - yep, poor lamb, what a rubbish date for a birthday!)

We had planned to have a cheese fondue, but the m-i-l didn't want to have the smell in her flat, so I cooked goulash and we had that instead.

Happy new year, pc and Sho. smiley - hug

it's turned into a sort of tradition now
but since #1 didn't seem to enjoy it too much, I think we'll do something else next time. Or go back to using Cheddar instead of Gruyère

Mmmm, fondue! smiley - drool Now there's a new tradition I could see my way clear to implement. I've got a lovely fondue pot gathering dust... I think the last time I made fondue we had Gruyére with pears and crusty bread, then strawberries with chocolate.

...and belated New Year's greetings to all.smiley - cracker
Spent NYE working out of town as usual. Nice to have employment, but then I spend the evening in a motel room. At least got to catch up on sleep a bit. Nothin much on TV except old Fred Estair pics. Life on stage is so exciting. smiley - zzz
To make it worse, my undergrad school was playing their bowl game (college football) at my home town that day.

Anyway, MMF has reminded me that my G string is going on a second year. I couldn't stop to break in a new one when I usualy make my annual change -- too much to play! And he's absolutely right. You would want an E for that cheese.
(BTW MMF, mine cost about (US)$30. I use nice German strings -- Olive Eudoxa's. Dominants are a bit bright for me; but I agree, they are far superior to Prim. Anyway, hope your "Auld Lang" was pretty!)
