Daniel is back, in the UK series anyway. Smallville will probably only have a short while to run as Tom Welling and Kirsten Kreuk are not getting any younger.
I find it interesting how Canada and New Zealand appear to have taken over the Sci-Fi genre, with Andromeda, Hercules, Zena etc. The Americans seem to stick to Star Trek....version MCXVIII and dio little else. Ah Well.
I hope that you survive the sports. Not my but could hack the Singing. Did a lot in my youth, but now stick to playing.... Old Age
Anyway, may talk later or tomorrow.

Seems that way at the moment. I'm off tomorrow, in Saturday, then off until Saturday the 22nd of January, although I won't be going anywhere. I need to start (and finish) my birthady present for my Mum. I'm doing a history of the Scottish Border Reivers, and also The Johnstone Clan (her maiden name) and then posting them both as my first Peer Review entries. Only prob. is they'll be long..... Not looking forward to puitting in the effort to HTML them.
Also going to Doc's re: headache, which I've still got since Chr*stm*s D*y. I'm now getting off with it.
Other than that, I am hoping to get some -watching in if I can, at my local reserve. That'll sort out the head.....

I really hope your head will be better soon, having a headache since xmas sounds more than bad, , I can't really imagine having a headache for such a long time

Sorry for being offline. All my settings disappeared overnight, so I've been doing a reset.
I've almost completed my peice on the Border Reivers, and shall finish that tonight, then onto The Johnstone Clan, followed by Clans and Tartans. Should keep me busy.
I may also do a piece on Migraines, if it hasn't already been done, considering the length of my reply to

Are you well? It is wet and miserable here, so I am getting a spot of spring-cleaning going. Also trying out my new Gaggia coffee machine... Getting me buzzing.

Thanks for reminding me about the Telegram game. The brain has turned to and not yhinking straight.
Too much spring-cleaning, I guess, but the flat looks good. I can even see floor Just the windows to do. Probably hasn't been this clean since before I moved in.
I haven't had a chance to go watching but I'm sure they won't disappear overnight.

the first part was clear (i.e. Eagle Eye) , just the second I wasn't really sure about, but guessed as much. Ah well, people are different in their reactions, I myself am not really happy with the two words, must be my age, not flexible enough etc , so I had unsubscribed for a while, but am back again, trying to get used to it, cause the majority currently is pro two words

You are more than flexible enough, and generally do better than those who have English as their first language. You've only got to look at your position in the Telegram Roll of Honour. Shame Jen seems to have gone off for a while. It's getting lonely here. No Lorraine, no Jen...

Things are good. Day off tomorrow so guess what....Ironing. General tidy up for when my cousins come Friday for Mum's 70th party on Saturday. Tonight is Burn's night in my local. So got to get home, on with the Glad-rags and grab the fiddle for a good night. Just as well I'm not working.

Btw,I ordered a new dictionary ( mine is over 20 years old now)two weeks ago, and it arrived today - from India . It's a new 'second hand' book, cost me 16.48 € (10.50 pound)in all - a new would have costed 70 € ( ~ 47 pound ). It's from 2001, so quite up-to-date.

Burns night - I've heard that before, Artisan mentioned it earlier today, my new dictionary tells me, that Robert Burns, 1759-96 was a Scottish lyric poet....
I know 'Auld Lang Syne', now I even know who wrote the lyrics

I won't be playing the ode although, as the Landlord and Landlady of my local are Scottish, there will be Haggis, Tatties and Neeps, and I am the surrogate Piper (even if it is a fiddle) and play the Haggis around the bar, foloowed by general folk music. Normally by myself, which is a little nerve-wracking, but I survive. Just have to make sure I don't have too many drams, or pints. I'll tell you abou it later.
